🌴 Sandscape Resort – Your Peaceful Escape in Cagwait 🌊
Tucked away along the beautiful shores of Cagwait Beach in Surigao del Sur, Sandscape Resort was a surprising gem during my trip. If you're looking for a calm, quiet, and cozy beachfront stay, this place is definitely worth checking out.
The vibe here is chill and laid-back. The cottages are simple but clean and comfy, perfect for anyone who just wants to relax and listen to the waves. I stayed in a beachfront hut, and the best part was waking up to the sound of the ocean just a few steps away. The sunrise view? Absolutely worth waking up early for!
Sandscape has that “hidden paradise” feel. It’s not too commercialized, which I loved. No fancy resort noise, no crowds—just the sea, the sky, and a whole lot of peace. There’s a big open area for bonfires at night (yes, they helped us set it up!), and the night sky was insanely clear. You could actually see the stars.
They don’t have a restaurant on-site, but you can bring your own food or buy fresh seafood from the market nearby. There’s also a small kitchen you can use. We grilled some fish, had a few drinks, and just enjoyed the chill beach vibes.
One of my favorite moments was just swinging in a hammock under the coconut trees, sipping buko juice, and doing absolutely nothing. That’s what a vacation should feel like!
The staff was really friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on where to go in Cagwait, how to get to the nearby falls, and even helped us book a ride back to Tandag.
If you're after a peaceful, budget-friendly escape where you can disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature (or yourself), Sandscape Resort is a solid pick. It’s great for couples, barkadas, or solo travelers who just want a slice of serenity by the sea.
