Penida Island Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
No exaggeration! This little island truly is the ceiling of island paradises
Some places, no matter how many times you see them online, it's just not the same as seeing them in person. I never dared to imagine that the sea could be the color of jade, with the rolling waves like the pulse of the Earth.
.
🏝️ This is Nusa Penida
There are two piers in Bali from which you can take a boat to get here, namely sanur and padang bai. The former has fast boats, which only carry passengers, and it takes about 50 minutes to arrive; the latter has slow boats, which can transport motorcycles and small cars, and it takes about 2 hours to arrive. This time, for convenience, we took the ferry from padang bai, and we could even bring the car we rented, which was so convenient.
.
Nusa Penida is divided into the east line and the west line, which can be visited on two separate days. The east line is more niche, while the west line is more classic:
East line: Atuh Beach — Diamond Beach — Tree House
West line: Broken Beach — Angel's Billabong — Crystal Bay — Kelingking Beach
.
Among them, I think the most beautiful and worthwhile spots are Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach. If you have to choose only one route, I would recommend the west line, which features the iconic Kelingking Beach of Nusa Penida. It's truly beautiful, a location for Apple wallpapers, and only requires a parking fee without an entrance ticket, making it extremely cost-effective.
Navigating Nusa Penida's Beauty: Finding Authentic Moments 🏝️📸
The iconic Diamond Beach at Nusa Penida, Bali, showcases the exquisite art of embracing authenticity, resonating beyond the frames of picturesque shots. In this idyllic destination, patience and resilience are nurtured—essential virtues in the realm of Instagrammable spots. The resurgence of tourism is evidenced by the throngs of visitors, signifying a rebound after a period of challenges. With a trusted companion by my side, our joint venture into this scenic paradise unveils a beauty that transcends the limits of the camera lens, leaving us with cherished memories. 🌊📷

Like a fairy, one day it will bring you to this sea
The most memorable part of the trip to Indonesia is Penida Island, each bay has its own charm, the beauty here can make the fairy fall off the cliff.
Penida Island is divided into east and west lines, it is recommended to take two days, one day will really have a lot of regrets!! (Don't ask, ask is at the beginning of the one-day tour later the more I think about it, the more angry I changed the sign and played for two days) Penida Island
📍Island tour arrangement:
Penida Island East and West lines, West line: Angel Bath, Broken Beach, Fairy Cliff, East line: Diamond Beach, Tree House (Whether to go to the Tree House depends on whether you want to check in, there is really no need to go besides this)
📍Schedule:
D1 Book the speedboat🚤 to the island in advance online, you can start the west line after checking in at noon. (The glass waves under the fairy cliff are very beautiful, but you need to climb down, so it depends on your physical strength) Of course, the sunset at the fairy cliff is really beautiful.
D2 If you plan to return the next day, go directly to the east line in the morning (It's a bit difficult to get to the bottom of Diamond Beach, there will be a lot of people sunbathing below), you can go back after playing.
📍A small tip: Recommend to make an appointment for snorkeling in the morning of the second day, Penida Island has a manta snorkeling point with a lot of manta!! This way you can go to the east line in the afternoon, and return the next morning.
There is one more thing to note: The roads on the island are very bad! There will be sand on every downhill. If you rent a motorcycle, be careful! I just braked and didn't go snorkeling in the end It will really be a regret for a long time.
Finally, unlike in China, there are not many safety measures in Indonesia, safety must be the first priority when you go out to play.
