One of the largest music festivals in Asia, it was my first time abroad to chase stars.

Summer Sonic
One of the largest music festivals in Japan
Strong program lineup and convenient transportation
Known as the most suitable music festival for novices to pursue overseas stars
The performance lineup is mainly composed of well-known European and American artists, interspersed with big-name Japanese or Korean artists. Only here can you see the spectacle of the Mr.Children Gang’s grand finale to warm up the show.
The headliners for 2023 are blur, Kendrick Lama & Liam (brother of Oasis), and the first show on the main stage is NewJeans!! (Oh my God, it smells so good)
The Tokyo venue is at Seaside Makuhari Station (the same station as the Mitsui outlet, so supply is convenient). It can be reached on foot in ten minutes after exiting the station. The transportation is much more convenient than Fuji Rock. In terms of accommodation, you can stay at the Keiyo Line Extension Station, or you can stay in the center of Tokyo or just come to the venue for about an hour. When the venue is over, there are so many people heading towards Tokyo that it is often difficult to get on the train, so it is easier to go towards Soga. If you have enough budget and plan ahead, just stay nearby!! Seaside Makuhari Station is usually the venue for various large-scale exhibitions. There are many businesses and star-rated hotels in the surrounding area, but it is usually almost fully booked half a year before Summer Sonic.
The venue is very large. The main stage is at the Marine Stage in Chiba Lode Marine. There will also be 3 stages in the indoor venue and 1 beach stage. All types of listeners can find the most suitable way to participate. You can lie down and stay on your favorite stage all day, or you can be a time management master and travel between stages. There is a shuttle bus between the main stage and the indoor area, but when there are many people, it may take more than half an hour to move between stages. Don't make the queue too full and the performances on both stages will be in vain~~
A little tip for laymen: If you want to get a good seat in the grandstand area of the main stage to watch the Headliner, you can go and book a seat in the afternoon. Remember to sit on the right-hand side facing the stage. The stage is generally facing south and north. The right-hand side of the stage is on the west side so that you will not be directly hit by the setting sun. You will be exposed to the sun before you can wait till night~~
That’s about it, let’s experience the rest for ourselves
First time watching a baseball game
#tokyotrip
Awesome baseball stadium! My local friend insist to bring me to a game.I still don’t get baseball though I understand the rules now. But maybe another game or two and might start liking baseball? I guess 🤔
ZOZO Marine Stadium is a great open air baseball stadium. A variety of seating options for different budgets. Staff were friendly and we were able to take food inside. They also allowed us to bring in our own drinks(I’m surprise)but they had to be transferred into plastic cups. They also have many small places to buy drink/food outside and inside of the stadium.
If you have a chance to experience a baseball game in Japan I will highly recommend it. The atmosphere is totally awesome
Great Bird Eye View

The Chiba Port Tower is a tall structure at the edge of the harbor. There are three floors that you can go to by elevator to enjoy the view. The view is quite good as you can see the entire harbor out towards the ocean.
Anyway, here is one of the main attraction around JR Chiba Best way to get here is take the monorail to the closest station, and then walk for around 15 minutes.
TIPS: Buy your love lock at the souvenir/grocery store on the first floor. That way you don't have to go up and down the elevator
Have cash or a suica card since the ticket machine did not accept credit card. Ticket very cheap only Yen420

Japanese food lovers get closer in Chiba
It's very nice traveling to Japan, trying many various kinds of Japanese food which rarely find in our city. When you on vacation to Japan, especially to the city of Makuhari in Chiba, don't forget to stop by Aeon Mall, the mall is very very big, the food court is also on a special floor. Because we can't read Japanese writing, we choose the food based on the menu photos. Many food menus that tempt the taste buds and make us hungry after a day of exploring the mall, want to try everything. The food court is very spacious and comfortable, super clean, just really feel at home for hours here, especially with family while chatting while snacking. Someday we want to come back here to reminisce #foodie #japanesefood #japantravel #mall #holidayvacation
Beneath Your Beautiful!
Sakura at it best.
This, as I remembered. I'm always admiring the blossoms, yet I am wondering what might happen next. Meanwhile, feast your eyes!
The trip to Chiba is one of my favourite trip to Japan. its felt like classical town. Back to 90's vibes. Kind of nostalgic feeling.
" We celebrate the cherry tree not for its efficiency but for its effectiveness – and for its beauty. Its materials are in constant flow, and all those thousands of useless cherry blossoms look gorgeous. Then they fall to the ground and become soil again, so there’s no problem."
- William McDonough.
"When the mind is really absent, in that silence, in that unlimited space, your potential starts glowing, radiating, flowering. Suddenly you are full of cherry blossoms, a new presence, a new fragrance." - Rajnesh.

Beautiful Japanese garden at Chiba
Mihama-en Japanese Garden is located in Makuhari Seaside Park, which designed to incorporate a number of quintessentially natural Japanese elements including ponds, stone lanterns, and bamboo fences. Japanese garden also fulfilled with colorful koi carp in a large pond, plus a teahouse & vivid spring blossoms.
It's a quiet and peaceful garden, kept in shape nicely. If I lived there, I'd probably go here often. There's a tea house as well. the toilet (on the outside) has a nice design and is in perfect shape.
Really worth the visit!
The garden has various paths where you can enjoy different views and angles, all very instagramable.

#ToriGate
Torii are the ‘gates’ to Shinto shrines, called jinja in Japanese. During my travels, I often noticed Japanese people bowing before they entered the shrine’s grounds - the places of Kami or Shinto gods.
Torii have similar construction - two cross beams are held in place by two side supports, and the ‘gates’ do not have flaps. The shape of the cross beams vary from very simple geometric designs to more curved and elaborate ones. But overall, the shape of torii is well recognized.
I really like the natural wood torii too! One of the coolest I have seen.
Japanese torii gates typically grace the entrance to a holy or revered place in Japan.
#Rice Terraces
Oyama Senmaida is a collection of 375 terraced rice paddies that stretch out over the slopes of a mountain in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture. One of Japan's Top One Hundred Rice Fields, it is known for being the closest collection of terraced rice fields to Tokyo.
Even now, the beautiful landscape is maintained by people, and hands-on agricultural experiences such as rice planting and harvesting are offered; people can even adopt a field and become the owner themselves.
In late October the Tanada Night Festival is held, at which 10,000 LED candles and 3,000 pine torches illuminate the nighttime paddies. Not just illuminations, however; at the same time, there are also exciting stage events and fireworks. Even after the festival period finishes, the 10,000 LED candles are left to light up the fields until early January in an event called Tanada no Akari, so even if your trip doesn't coincide with the festival, you can still enjoy the magical nighttime
#Look like Hawaiiiii♥️
Summers in Japan mean long, hot, humid days that just seem to last forever. For travelers to Japan, we recommend taking a break from the heat at one of Japan's many beaches! Today I would like to introduce to you my hand-picked Chiba is located at convenient distances from Tokyo.
Nokogiriyama no Jigoku Nozoki (Peek into Hell) is a precipitous cliff in Chiba’s Nokogiriyama, a scenic spot that will make you learn the feeling of a Buddhist in training. It is located on the observation platform of Nokogiriyama, which looks like a sawtooth (“nokogiri” in Japanese), that is home to such famous spots as 1,500 statues of arhats, Hyakushaku Kannon, and stone Buddhist images. There are also ruins of a quarry pit called “Laputa’s Wall” that is visited by a lot of people.
You can see that place once you are on your way.

Japan you don't know | Xiaomiao Railway in the early summer & Yiwu Railway
Only a small train in a carriage, shuttle in a large rice field. Spring rapeseed is covered with farmland, and the cherry blossoms on both sides of the railway are full; in the early summer, it becomes the hydrangea sea; in the autumn, the golden rice is golden, and the platform stands with huge ginkgo. Really, like the development concept, it has done the reverse development, let the nostalgic century-old train and nature combine, take the train and take you back to the past. Along the way, there are a few unmanned stations set up by wood. Although most of the hotels along the line do not have hotels and food, and even can not find convenience stores, but can be exchanged for such a fairy tale world, it is also worthy of ducks.
Transportation: Take the [Five Wells] from JR to Chiba, here is the starting point of the Xiaozong Line, and the end point of the Xiaozong Line [Upper Zhongzhong] is the starting point of the Yiwu Railway.
Ticket: 1700 yen for the small-scale railroad and the Yi-yi railway crossing (one-time free ride in a day)

The Japanese high-altitude monorail takes you to experience different scenery # Recorder of Romantic Life # Every second is worth recording # Inspiration for Notes # Japan # Record Bar Up to now. When it comes to high-tech transportation in Japan, the high-altitude monorail cannot be ignored. This type of tram is not only fast and safe, but also has almost panoramic window design that allows you to have a clear view of how Japan's high-altitude monorail operates? It mainly avoids ground level traffic congestion through elevated tracks, providing a more convenient way of urban transportation. Whether it's rushing to the airport or the trade center, the high-altitude monorail is an excellent option, and the comfort level of the high-altitude monorail is also a major highlight. The interior of the carriage is spacious and comfortable, and you can enjoy a first-class experience in almost every position. Combined with the standard launch time, you can almost treat it as your own experience of Japan's high-altitude monorail, not just to travel from one place to another, but also to enjoy the fun and convenience of traveling. Why not try this unique mode of transportation? I believe it will add a lot of music and city scenery to your journey. It can save you valuable time. Private sector machines.
PIER 01|A restaurant with an aquarium and sea view.
🍽Catering recommendations:
The Pier-01 restaurant opposite the Chiba Port cruise terminal is so pleasant to dine [Cute][Cute]! One side of the restaurant is facing the sea, and the other side is built with a huge fish tank as a wall, where you can watch fish and big turtles.
🍲Dish recommendations:
Burger Meat and Shrimp Set: Juicy and tender hamburger meat, plus runny yolk eggs, great color and flavor;
Ginger Pork Slices: The unique ginger juice wraps the tender meat slices, which is fat but not greasy;
❤Reason for recommendation:
When dining here, you can enjoy self-service vegetable salad, soup, rice and drinks for free;
💰Per capita consumption:

Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art | Asai Chu's "Hunting Scene".
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Chiba Prefectural Museum of Art, which is holding an exhibition of Asai Chu's works and travel heritage.
Asai Chu (1856–1907) was born in Sakura, Chiba, and his statue stands in the most prominent position in front of the museum. In 1876, he was tutored by an Italian painter, and in 1895, his works reflecting the war (Korea, Lushun) won awards (Figure 6). After that, he went to France to study because he was tired of the war, and he drew a large number of exquisite postcards by hand in France (Figures 7 and 8). After returning to Japan, Asai Chu became a central figure in the Kansai art scene. Figure 5 is his famous oil painting "Hunting Scene", which is breathtaking!
💰Average cost:
Tickets: JPY 1,000 per person, free for students and seniors over 65 years old.
Upside-Down Monorail Train at Chiba
The upside-down monorail in Chiba, Japan, provides an exhilarating experience as it glides smoothly along its suspended rails, soaring through the air like a roller coaster. Hotel Springs Makuhari
🧹Soundproofing/Hygiene: A city and resort filled with light, water, and greenery. A 2-minute walk from JR Keiyo Line's Kaihin-Makuhari Station. A 10-minute walk to Makuhari Messe. There are direct shuttle buses to Narita and Haneda airports. Free Wi-Fi is also available.
🏘️️️Room Types/Layout: The hotel is conveniently located with many malls and restaurants nearby. The room is larger than I expected, enough to open two suitcases at the same time. The room is of a higher grade than I booked, clean, and has a nice view.
🛌Supplies/Facilities: The bedding is very comfortable, making for a good night's sleep. There is also a small balcony where you can dry your shoes.
💰️Per Capita Consumption: 500+
💗Other Tips: The hotel is located in Chiba Prefecture. If you are going to Disneyland, I recommend staying here. It is a 30-minute direct ride to Maihama Station, 7 stops by subway. Opened in 1990, the decor is quite old-fashioned and retro, which I personally like.
Shimotate Matsubara Shrine 下立松原神社
History of Shimotate Matsubara Shrine
Our company is a ceremonial shrine that enshrines the divine destiny. Long ago, by order of the imperial court, Amantomi no Mikoto landed in this region with Amahiwashi no Mikoto's grandson Yufutsu no Mikoto and other gods, and Goyufutsu no Mikoto was enshrined as the ancestral deity. This is a shrine that enshrines the sun-eared eagle.
Nemoto swimming beach
Nice find. First time to this beach. Good for families with kids. All amenities that you need are there and the lifeguards were very helpful. It was great to be in a place where I could enjoy both the rocky shore and the beach! The parking lot costs 1000 yen, and you can use the cold shower for free.
There were an incredible amount of crabs.
There are many lifeguards, and everyone is kind, so children can play safely. I will go again!
Mera Beach 布良海岸
The coast is famous as a drama filming location! The sea is beautiful and it's not that big, so l think it's the best place to relax. It may have been used as a filming location, and there are some interesting spots nearby, so you can enjoy it on a day trip, but I also recommend staying overnight while relaxing in the hot springs. You can also walk to the fishing port, so you can enjoy something different in the morning. It's a place where there aren't too many people around, so I get the impression that there aren't many families.
