It was so exciting! 😆💕 Itinerary Arrangement: - 9:00 AM: Depart from the city to Ala Archa National Park 🚗 - 1:40 PM: Arrive at the starting point of the park hike 🏞 - Spontaneous Decision: Head to Burana Tower 🗼 Ala Archa National Park Guide: 1. Ticket Information: 700 SOM per car 💸 2. Hiking Route: - We chose the middle hiking route, walking along the river, which is very suitable for beginners 👟 - Path: River hike, the scenery is super beautiful (as shown in the picture) 🌄 - Note: There are a few places where you need to cross large stones in the water, which can be slippery, so be careful ⚠ - Viewing Point: A steel bridge location, continue walking along the rocky beach for dozens of meters, a great place for taking photos 📸 - Total Journey: 6 km round trip, taking 2 hours and 40 minutes ⌛ 3. Toilet: Located behind the ticket booth, blue small house - dry toilet 🚽 One Day Trip Summary: Each person's cost is 2310 SOM, including tickets and transportation costs 🤑 Exclusive Advice - Transportation Arrangement: Recommend negotiating with the driver in advance for waiting time and return fare when heading to Burana Tower to avoid wasting time looking for a car 🚌 - Time Arrangement: Usually, 1 hour is enough to visit Burana Tower, refer to Yandexgo prices for costs 🕰 This was a fulfilling and beautiful trip, hope you can also enjoy the beauty of this nature! 🌿✨ Special Recommendation: Later, I met a very reliable guy who speaks Chinese, is super nice, and drives very steadily! 🚙💨 He provides one-day car rental services for Chinese people, driving a luxurious Lexus SUV, which is much more comfortable than Yandex's small cars. Short-distance car rental to places around Bishkek for about an hour, costs less than 900 RMB a day, a 7-seater car, which is about 150 RMB per person. In winter is gets frozen partially. Good for a one-day trip and having a picnic by the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall, you may continue along the gorge toward the top pass, where great views open. I went with TUK to the Kegety Waterfall near Bishkek. It cost 400 som for the guide and the transport. It's an easy trek from the road to the waterfall. We had lunch at the bottom of the waterfall. There are several popular hiking destinations in the valley, including the Kel-Tor Lake hike (east valley) and some roadside attractions, including the Kegety Waterfall (west valley). And you can find good places for camping, hiking, 4x4, and mountain biking throughout the valley. Services are basic, but you can find some lodges and cafes. Kegety gorge and waterfall are located close to Burana tower, which make them good combination for a day trip near Bishkek. In the valley you can find some yurts, where locals offer fresh kumys. The waterfall can be reached by car, the road is 200 metres from the waterfall. The gorge has two ways, gorge on the left takes to Kol tor lake. It’s 7kms of hiking from the end of the car road. The gorge on the right takes to the waterfall. It also continues and passes over to Suusamyr valley. But on the top road is not fit for a car, bike or horse will do. It can be a big hard to get there by bus but you can go to the Eastern Bus Station and take a bus to Chon-Kemin for 120 som. Chon Kemin Valley is located 120 kms away from the capital. It has many gorges and alpine forests scattered on mountains. The valley is very wide and green. There are number of villages along the Shabdan river. One can have horse riding activities either to mountains or along the field. There are few guest houses by the forest with great home service and lovely hosts. We had a lovely couple of days in the Chong-Kemin Valley a couple of hours outside of Bishkek. Stunning scenery, lovely mountain villages and endlessly friendly people. I was there in summer and though hot, there was a nice breeze at altitude and there are some wonderful treks and trails. Amazing starry skies at night too, a magical place. #falladventures #travel #familytravel If you're looking for a place to reboot in just one day – Kegeta Gorge and Lake Koltor are just a must-visit! 🌲⛰ I was surprised that there was such beauty just outside Bishkek: mountain trails, noisy rivers, spruce groves and a gorge that led higher and higher. Lake Coltor itself is emerald-turquoise, as if it had come off a postcard. Getting up there is worth every minute of the journey! Upstairs, I was in for a real surprise: there is a yurt by the lake where you can take a break, drink kumys, tea from a samovar and taste delicious cattama. An atmosphere of comfort and real mountain hospitality 🌿. And the guys organized a boat ride right on the ice lake - the experience is unforgettable! The road to the lake is not easy, so if walking is hard or you want to add romance, you can rent a horse and ride. It makes the journey even brighter. In just a couple of hours upstairs, you can feel yourself completely rebooted and energized. Going down is a separate pleasure, because the views of the gorge open from a completely different angle. 💚 This place is worth seeing at least once in your life. If you are claustrophobic, don’t dare. There’s nothing special about it, unless you are into history. We paid 500 Kyrgyzstani Som each, if I'm not mistaken. They should put a rope on the side of the stairs, in case someone slips/misses a step, there will be something to hold on. There is also a museum there, and a local guy wearing their traditional suit, where you can take a picture with them or with the falcon bird. It cost 200 Kyrgyzstani Som. I also suggest that you buy a souvenir whenever you see one in every location you’re in, because it is really hard to search for a souvenir in the city proper. This is Burana Tower😍 History of Burana Tower🤗 The Burana Tower is a historical and architectural monument that dates back to the end of the 10th century and the beginning of the 11th century. It is located 15 kilometers from the town of Tokmok and was once part of the Balasagun town and citadel. This archaeological site was home to a citadel, mausoleums, mosque, church, and bathhouse, and many archeological treasures have been found there. The tower, made of red bricks, currently stands at 25 meters tall, with a bottom diameter of 9 meters and a top diameter of 6 meters. Inside the tower, there are small stairs leading to the top. According to inscriptions found at the site and the chronicles of Mukhammed Khaidar, the Burana Tower was built for Balasagun Legislator Imam Muhammad. The Kalyan Minaret in Bukhara, which was the western capital of the Karakhanids, was built in 1127 and stands at 46.7 meters tall. It is believed that the same architect, Usto Bako, built both the Burana and Kalyan Minarets. How to get to this place? Beautiful alpine lake at 2700m altitude just 80km from Bishkek. A 2-3 hour hike one way to get to the lake, honestly one of the bluest lakes we’ve ever seen. Hike is probably not the easiest, as it’s uphill and quite steep, but it’s well worth it at the end. 🚗How to get there ? Via Matshruka - There is no direct public transport. You will have to organise your own taxi from the Tomok or hitchhike. 🚌 *Or join a tour* RECOMMEND - we joined a local tour (Intourist) that departed from Bishkek early in the morning, and drove us straight there. The guide hiked with us and also brought an inflatable boat for us to enjoy on the lake! This only cost us 1190 soms per person. Definitely worth the hassle free stress of getting on the right Matshruka /working out the correct price and not getting scammed / and transport to your accomodation. ⛺️ Yurt Camps There are some yurt camps you can stay at at the bottom of the trail head. ⛰️ The Hike Distance: 10km with 790 elevation gain Difficulty: Moderate Starting from the Kor Tor Trailhead, you will follow a river up the mountain. There are a few steep sections along the way, but generally it’s a steady steep climb. Next part of the route takes you across some open fields, always making you feel that you’re nearly there! The climb is not as steep here, but still steady elevation gain. Once you pass the last steep uphill, you’ll see the most beautiful turquoise blue lake! Suyab City was once a frontier town in the northwest of the Tang Dynasty, and its ruins are now located in Ak-Beshim, 8 kilometers southwest of Togmak City in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan.
