📍 Kissa Yohaku On June 11, 2026, "Kissa Yohaku" opened in Yakuin, Fukuoka. Located on the second floor of a building, it's a hideaway-style cafe with a relaxing, white-themed interior. A slow, comfortable time flows here, and true to its name, its charm lies in an atmosphere that gives your heart some "Yohaku" (room to breathe). Here, you can enjoy cakes and baked goods crafted by a pastry chef, along with carefully selected coffee and tea. This time, I tried the "Seasonal Fresh Shortcake" and the "Afternoon Victoria Cake." The Seasonal Fresh Shortcake features an exquisite balance of fluffy sponge and light cream. With a gentle flavor that highlights the quality of the ingredients, I enjoyed it thoroughly to the very last bite. The Afternoon Victoria Cake is an elegant treat you'll want to savor slowly with tea. It pairs perfectly with the calm atmosphere of the cafe. The wheat used is organically grown in Kyushu. One of its distinguishing features is the use of low-gluten wheat. Served on beautiful dishware, the sweets are visually stunning, so gorgeous that you can't help but take pictures. Highly recommended not only for cafe lovers, but also for those who want to spend a relaxing time in a quiet space. I thought about getting a light roast to pair with the strawberries, but went with the blend to prioritize the tiramisu. The table turnover is fast, so you won't be waiting too long. Happy Hour runs daily from opening until 6:30 PM, offering a great deal on gyoza for just 198 yen!

Shirogane / FUKUOKA My favorite cafe in Shirogane, Fukuoka ☕️ A cute, stylish, and sophisticated cafe. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the wonderful aroma of baked goods? Or perhaps coffee? 🥰 They offer scones, Dutch baby pancakes, and tiramisu. 💓 The coffee is authentic and incredibly delicious! 🫶🏻 This time I ordered a cafe latte, and it was so fragrant and delicious! 😳 The Dutch baby pancake changes seasonally, but right now it's strawberry 🍓 and absolutely delicious! 🤤 You eat it with maple syrup, and you'll definitely get hooked!!! The crispy yet chewy texture of the dough combined with the strawberries and vanilla ice cream was amazing! 💓 I've also had their tiramisu, and it's definitely the best! It seems they use mascarpone cheese, resulting in a truly authentic, bittersweet, and sophisticated dessert. The interior of the shop is calming, and the seating is spacious, so it doesn't feel cramped at all! They have a terrace seating area, and it seems dogs are allowed on the terrace! There was a dog there, and it was so cute! ☺️ I love it so much, I've lost count of how many times I've been back! 🤓 You can also take out scones and drinks, so it's perfect for the upcoming cherry blossom season! 🌸 The staff were also very kind and friendly. hakataku / FUKUOKA Minojima Did you know you can eat delicious jokbal in Fukuoka? 𓃟💕 Jokbal means pig's trotters in Korean, but it has a different flavor than in Japan. ☝🏼 It's soft and full of collagen, and it's healthy to eat wrapped around vegetables. 🥬 It's a must-try dish that you'll be hooked on once you try it. 💗 Recently, they've started serving gopchang (grilled offal), so I tried it. I'm so happy to be able to eat gopchang in Fukuoka. 🥺 Plus, the grill plate is gorgeous! ✨ The combination of samgyeopsal and gopchang. 🤤 Isn't it just too luxurious? What's more, the chives and green onions are grilled and served as well. 👏🏼 The offal is small and chunky, but addictive. 🫣 When you order samgyeopsal gopchang, you can also order a single serving of jokbal. ✨ (The jokbal in the photo is a single serving.) The interior is chic and calming, with a second floor available. A restaurant in Fukuoka where you can experience authentic Korean flavors! Oyafukou / FUKUOKA Oyafukou What?! Seriously?! I found an incredibly delicious gukbap 💗🤤 It totally reminded me of Korea 😂😂🇰🇷 The gukbap, made by a Seoul-born Korean owner mom who simmers it for 12 hours, is absolutely exquisite 🤍🍲 The Korean pepper gives it a perfectly balanced salty taste 🧂 And it's packed with plenty of vegetables, which is great! It makes you want to drink Korean soju, and it's so comforting in winter ☺️ㅎㅎ Since it was my first visit, I ended up ordering too much. I tried the ganjang gejang 🦀 and nakgopsae 🐙 jeon, and both were homemade by the mom! They hand you a menu with photos and even thoughtfully recommend their signature dishes.
