Time management was pretty good. Below is the extreme itinerary during the Chinese New Year period—intense and not recommended for casual travelers. On the first day of the lunar new year, I set off at 8 a.m., arrived in Anyang around 4 p.m., headed straight to the museum, ate some oracle bone script noodles inside, and stayed until closing. On the second day, I first went to Tianning Temple to see the Wenfeng Pagoda, which is larger at the top and smaller at the bottom, then headed north to visit the Northern Qi tomb cluster, Northern Dynasties Archaeological Museum, and Yecheng Archaeological Museum, finishing the day with a visit to the Handan City Museum in the evening. The third day was a day trip to the Fengfeng mining area grottoes: first to South Xiangtang to see the coffered ceiling, then rented the Small Xiangtang grotto for a private visit, and finally to North Xiangtang.
