Ciletuh Geopark is full of amazing, huge waterfalls and stunning scenery. It's a 6 hour drive from Jakarta but you feel like you have entered an entirely different world. The air is clean, the hills are impressive and covered in dense foliage and there is good bird life throughout the region. Some of the waterfalls can be visited by just a short walk from your car while others offer 30-40 minute hikes for the more adventurous and fit. It's best to organize a local driver who knows the road conditions and where everything is to make sure you can make the most of your stay. We stayed at Ciletuh Hills which is a brand new resort right next to Curug Sodong and Cikanteh two of the finest waterfalls in the park and it has a few villa's with amazing views, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms and high quality air condition. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a base to explore the park. They also organize very reasonably priced "Safari Tours" to the main attractions in the park using high clearance vehicles that will safely get you to any of the parks many destinations. This place is one of the few remaining true paradises in West Java. If you plan a visit avoid the weekend or long weekends if possible or else you might encounter crowds escaping Jakarta. Geopark Ciletuh

Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark (Indonesian: Taman Bumi Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu) is a national Geopark at Pelabuhan Ratu of Sukabumi Regency in West Java , Indonesia. It was recognized by UNESCO in 2015 as a national geopark. It was being proposed to become member of Global Geopark Network (GGN) to be recognized UNESCO by 2017. Darma mountain. To go here, you need to hop on a jeep from the Cimarunjung waterfall. The road is pretty rough. You even need a 4WD vehicle to finally able to reach it. For renting the vehicle, you need the cost for about Rp60.000,-. The next waterfall on our list of things to do in Ciletuh Geopark is one waterfall called Cikanteh. It’s little bit too hard to get there, because the road is totally wilrd and still being as natural as it should be. You can go there from Sodong waterfall for about 30 minutes. The waterfall looks so majestic because of the forest that surrounding the place. Panenjoan Cliff. The cliff itself is not so crowded with people, but during weekend, there will be more people coming to this place. Well, most of them are couples who want to see the romantic view from this cliff. Don’t worry about the safety because they built the place with full care. It’s little tiring to go to the top of the cliff. But it’s satisfying when you can finally see the view from the cliff facing beach, rice fields, and also forest. Ciletuh Geopark.The place is like the combination between all the natural venues, liek mountains, hills, waterfalls, and even beach.  Also, this place included as one beautiful place in UNESCO list. There are several waterfalls in the geopark area you can visit and all of it are reachable by your own car. It is a must to take a picture on Darma Peak or ‘puncak’ darma to capture the beautiful 180 view of the area. Another important thing, it would be better if you visit during the dry season around July - August to get the best picture. Because, during rainy season september - February the color of the water turns into mud colors which is not very good for a picture. The beach also got contaminated on this, it turns dirty at the edge and turquoise. To get the best turquoise water color be advised to visit around July - August. Palangpang beach. Surprisngly enough, the Ciletuh also has this beach. This place is more crowded because it’s like the center of Ciletuh Geopark. You can see some settlements in here, hotels, and also some small restaurants lining up. As an icon of Ciletuh Geopark, there’s the sign saying the exact same name Ciletuh Geopark right in the middle of the beach. Usually some people will come close to the sign to take selfie or two.
