Visited #Conneticut last year. Such a beautiful state and makes for a great relaxing holiday. The houses look quite different to the ones I’ve seen in Maryland & New York, they have a bit more of a vintage feel to them. I enjoyed seeing an old fashion train with smoke coming out go through the town centre which was great to watch. I even got it on video but it’s a shame I can’t upload vids to this as i would have been able to capture my time here better.
Whilst I was there I tried some of the hugest and delicious #Pizzas from New Haven & visited the famous Mohegan Sun Cassino.
This trip involved a lot of eating, you can find out more about this/ my food obsession on my Instagram @reemofthecrop_
I flew with JetBlue for the first time and it was great! Loved their care package and their food, even down to the snacks which had plantain chips, I was pleasantly surprised!

On August 19, 2017, 2017 Riverfront Dragon Boat & Asian Festival was held on the Connecticut River. We drove to the Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in Hartford to see the Dragon Boat Race and the Asian Cultural Festival. There are many teams participating in the competition. After the preliminary screening, the finals need to be divided into many rounds to complete. The enthusiasm for the dragon boat is unexpected.
In addition to the dragon boat races, there are also a number of small events to celebrate Asian culture at various stalls, which are ideal for family and children. Riverfront has a nice view of the river, perfect for a relaxing walk.
