Unlike bustling cities, this place is full of natural charm. We spent a peaceful night at a cozy resort surrounded by nature. Day 2: Water Activities at Stoney Park and Arrival at Gold Coast The next morning, we jumped straight into the inflatable water park activities at Stoney Park. Actually this park is only part theme park, with interesting rides, especially for kids. It is also part zoo and part open air museum. In the zoo area you will see lots of Australian native wildlife such as kangaroos and koalas. In addition there are lots of displays on traditional aboriginal life in Australia as well as dance shows. The park is open every day from 10:00 to 17:00. The highlight of the afternoon for me was the Tiger Presentation at Tiger Island. It was super cool to see the tigers doing their thing – climbing trees, leaping through the air and diving into water – and to learn about what’s happening to tigers around the world. #australiatrip Dreamworld was a.fabulous experience and our additional Tiger Island experience was amazing. Obviously the wait times for rides are never short, we were there on a weekday and the average wait was 50 minutes for each ride, however they are well shaded and many have lots of fans. Don't forget your sunblock and water bottles. All the staff we spoke with were really lovely, very friendly and helpful. Take your time, allow a full day and enjoy.

Seeing kangaroos in the wild is a completely different experience, unlike anything seen in zoos or theme parks. There were so many of them here that at some point you stopped counting. Big and small, very young and already grown, mothers with their babies—they were literally everywhere. You simply walked along the path and watched, in disbelief, how naturally and calmly they lived here, alongside people. The most amazing thing was their behavior. The kangaroos didn't run away, didn't fuss, and didn't seem tense. Some lay in the grass, some sat, and still others lazily observed their surroundings. There was no rush in their movements, as if time flowed differently here. You could stand for a long time and simply watch them rest, change positions, and exchange glances. This wasn't a show or a performance—it was ordinary life, which you were simply allowed to briefly touch. Seeing mothers with their babies was especially touching. Little kangaroos peek out of their pouches, then retreat back in, moving hesitantly and very cautiously. Moments like these evoke a quiet delight—without words or the need for comment. You just watch and smile. A walk along the Koala Trail is easy and peaceful. The trail is easy, the walking is comfortable, and the surrounding nature creates a sense of solitude, even among other people. Here, you don't want to rush, take dozens of photos, or keep running. You want to slow down, stop, and simply be in the moment. Koalas also live in this park, but seeing them is much more difficult. We only managed to spot one—high in a tree, almost invisible at first glance. And this, too, is part of true nature: there are no guarantees or schedules here. You either see it or you don't. And that's what makes the encounter especially precious. The Koala Trail is a rare opportunity to see kangaroos not as postcard symbols of Australia, but as living, calm animals in their natural environment. This is a place where words are not needed, because the impression remains on its own - quiet, strong and very real.

There's a lovely French style cafe in Westfield Coomera, that's known for their crepes. But we went for their amazing brownies!🇫🇷 We always loved French provincial designs and Miss Claude's Crepes was just too pretty and delicious not to write about! They have all different sorts of brownies - Malteser, Biscoff, Nutella or the classic. We went for a classic brownie with whipped cream. On the first day of the field trip, the students were taken to Dream World amusement park. The children were excited by the many large toys they had never seen before. They played on almost every ride. It was another very happy day for both the children and the teachers.
