Downtown Copenhagen is the perfect starting point to explore Danish culture and history.
Stroll through the colorful streets and head to the Little Mermaid statue to experience the romantic atmosphere of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.
Next, visit Amalienborg Palace to witness the opulence of the Danish royal family.
Nyhavn Canal is a paradise for tasting local cuisine and shopping. Don't forget to find a café by the canal to relax and enjoy some leisure time.
Travel Tips:
The attractions in the city center are relatively close to each other, so walking is recommended to better experience the city's atmosphere.
Also, pay attention to the opening hours and ticket policies of each attraction to plan your itinerary wisely.
Additionally, Copenhagen's downtown area has well-developed bike lanes. Renting a bike is also a great option, as it saves time and allows you to deeply experience local life.
Exploring Copenhagen: A Perfect Blend of Classic and Modern
Copenhagen, a city full of charm and history, attracts countless travelers. In this city, there are several iconic attractions that should not be missed, including the Little Mermaid statue, City Hall, and the Central Train Station.
### The Little Mermaid
Our journey begins with one of Copenhagen's most famous landmarks—the Little Mermaid statue. Located at the Langelinie harbor, this statue sits quietly on a rock, gazing into the distance. Created by sculptor Edvard Eriksen, the Little Mermaid was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale 'The Little Mermaid.' Although the statue is relatively small, its unique beauty and the deep emotion of its story move every visitor.
### City Hall
Next, we head to Copenhagen City Hall, a magnificent building that blends Italian Renaissance and Nordic styles. City Hall Square is always bustling with activity, with locals and tourists gathering and taking photos. The City Hall tower is one of the city's symbols, and climbing it offers a panoramic view of Copenhagen's beautiful scenery. The interior of City Hall is equally impressive, with exquisite decorations and spacious halls showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Denmark.
### Copenhagen Central Train Station
Our final stop is Copenhagen Central Train Station. This station is not only a transportation hub but also a historic building. The Gothic architecture and spacious waiting hall of the station exude a classical atmosphere. The station is well-equipped with numerous shops, restaurants, and cafes, making the waiting time enjoyable and fulfilling. From here, you can easily travel to various parts of Denmark and experience more landscapes and cultures.
This city tour of Copenhagen allowed me to experience the perfect blend of classic and modern in this city. Each attraction showcased Copenhagen's unique charm and profound historical culture.

I love this city, with ample and affordable transportation in every touristy area. I bought a card for four days and it's good for bus, waterbus, metro and train. And this city is really safe unlike other European countries. It is a bit expensive but everything here but at least I have set foot here and my curiosity has paid off.
