Built in the 14th century, the gray-white exterior wall exudes ancient power. The rose window glimmers in the sun, and the details of the stone carving whisper the piety of the Middle Ages. Behind the green door, the interior of the church is simple but warm, and the wooden ceiling and slightly mottled murals seem to hide the prayers of the years. You don't need religious beliefs to feel a kind of inner peace here. Corniglia has no port, only the church and the scenery on the top of the mountain.
