It was the most unplanned trip of my life. My boyfriend and I went to Crimea to swim in the sea and go trekking in the mountains. The one-way journey from Moscow to Crimea took us 26 hours 🤯, making it the longest trip of our lives. We traveled by bus, but we could have also taken a train or plane. However, the train journey takes longer, and flying with a transfer to a train or bus is more difficult, so we chose the cheaper option. A one-way bus ticket for one person cost only $60. We found accommodation online and were staying very close to the beach. A double room for one night cost about $40. We climbed Eklizi-Burun and Northern Demerdzhi together, independently and without preparation. It cost us only $0 🤫. If we'd gone with a guide, we'd have spent $140 on both hikes. But the climb up these mountains wasn't difficult at all, so we decided to go on our own. The nature is simply unique: virtually untouched by humans, vibrant and colorful. It was worth the long trip to Crimea for views like these 💔. We also visited the Swallow's Nest in Gaspra. The sea there is an extraordinary color. Breathtaking Ay-Petri Mountain 🏔, a must-visit on the Southern coast of Crimea! Reachable by cable car 🚡 from Mishor village, or bus 102 from Yalta. The ride itself is a mini-adventure! But beware of the crowd during peak season. 🙅‍♀️ Alternatively, take a car ride 🚗 with local drivers offering trips to the top, stopping at various spots. Or, hike up the Taraktash or Koreiz trails 🚶‍♀️. We chose the Koreiz trail for descent and didn't regret it! A friendly dog 🐕 accompanied us, and the views were simply breathtaking! 🌄 To reach the peak at 1234 meters, you'll trek through a forest and over slippery rocks.
