Even though the highest altitude is only 1,613 meters, and even though I took the cable car and only walked down the mountain, my legs ached for two or three days afterward. This trip made me realize that Wudangshan should not be underestimated, both in terms of its cultural significance and the physical demands of exploring it. Moreover, the entrance tickets are not cheap, so you must be well-prepared before visiting Wudangshan: 1. Watch the CCTV documentary "The Tao of Wudang" beforehand to gain a deeper understanding of Wudangshan's history and religious significance. 2.
