📍Crab Restaurant KPK Dannok, Thailand
Drove to Thailand from Malaysia the other day and decided to stay for a night at Dannok, which is literally 5 minutes away from the border! We had a delicious seafood supper at Dannok, the seafood was fresh and succulent, love that! The restaurant is huge and spacious, with ample of seatings and tables. It has both indoor and outdoor seatings, we visited during the evening and opted for the outdoor seatings, very airy and breezy! We ordered their signature grilled crab and prawn porridge. The grilled crab was fresh and succulent, love the pairing with their Thai green chilli sauce! While porridge was served hot, flavourful and such a nice comforting food for supper!

🎯 Dannok Isn’t Just About Nightlife — Here’s an Adrenaline Experience You Shouldn’t Miss 🇹🇭
Most travelers know Dannok, Thailand for its nightlife and food, but there’s another activity that’s worth adding to your itinerary—SSC Club Dannok Shooting Range, located in Dannok Indian Street.
Our group of three decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
The staff began with a thorough safety briefing before teaching us the correct shooting techniques. Even though it was our first time handling firearms, the instructors stayed beside us throughout the session, making us feel safe and comfortable.
We chose the 100-round package, which cost around THB 7,000 for our group. It gave us plenty of time to experience different firearms and improve our aim with each magazine. Every shot brought a different level of excitement, and comparing our targets at the end became a fun competition among friends.
One thing I really liked was that the staff were patient and never rushed us. They also helped us take photos and allowed us to keep our shooting targets as souvenirs.
Why I recommend it:
✅ Professional safety briefing
✅ Friendly and patient instructors
✅ Suitable for beginners
✅ Different firearms available
✅ Great activity for couples and groups of friends
✅ Memorable souvenir with your shooting target
💰 Price: Around THB 7,000 for 100 rounds (enough for 2-3 people). Prices may vary depending on the package and firearm selection.
If you’re visiting Dannok and want something beyond the usual nightlife scene, this is definitely an experience worth trying.

Great White Snake Shrine, Dannok | A Unique Spiritual Stop 🛕
#thailandtrip #dannok #sadao
Visiting the Great White Snake Shrine in Dannok during winter was a fascinating and memorable experience. The cooler weather made walking around the shrine grounds comfortable, and the calm atmosphere allowed me to fully appreciate the intricate details and spiritual energy of the site.
The shrine itself is striking, with vivid decorations, symbolic statues, and the prominent white snake figure that gives the place its unique character. Walking through the area, I enjoyed observing the offerings, carvings, and local worship practices, which made the visit feel culturally immersive.
The surrounding space is peaceful and easy to navigate, giving a chance for reflection or photography without feeling rushed. Even as a smaller, lesser-known shrine, it offers a very personal and authentic spiritual experience.
Overall:
A must-visit for travelers seeking something different and culturally unique in Dannok. Visiting the Great White Snake Shrine in winter allows for a quieter, more reflective experience. Highly recommended for those interested in local traditions and spiritual landmarks.

A delicious halal cafe in Dannok
Was staying nearby in Satit Grand Hotel and google map this place to have a 4.6 rating, so came and try. Food is delicious, service is fast, and the setup of this place is quite nice. However the toilet is two doors away and food prices a quite alright.
This is Kodangnam Cafe and I believe its quite viral among many Malaysian tourists.

My favorite nasi kandar in Dannok
One of my favorite stop in Dannok after crossing border or before coming home is this spot called Nasi Kandar Dannok. I believe there are a few nasi kandar spot now but this definitely my favorite.
Their food is fresh and taste good and their staff speaks good Malay. I have since stopped by here numerous times.

In Thailand, the "elephant god" refers to Ganesha, a Hindu deity with an elephant's head and human body, symbolizing wisdom, wealth, and success. He is widely worshipped in Thailand and frequently appears in amulets and shrines. People worship him to pray for success in their careers and to remove obstacles. His mount is a rat. In Thailand, people also worship another symbol of prosperity, the "Elephant God of the Valley," the mount of Indra. He is enormous and can bring rain from heaven to earth, symbolizing prosperity.

Secret Foodie Gem in Dannok 😍 Authentic Thai spicy Noodles 🥢
🍜 Hidden Gem in Dannok 🍜
When you’re in Dannok, you’ll notice countless roadside stalls selling wanton noodles — but trust me, after trying so many, this one hidden in a back alley truly stands out 🙈
It’s not located along the main street, but tucked inside a narrow alley where locals sell fresh meat and veggies at the pasar. If you don’t pay attention, you’ll probably walk right past it. Just turn into the alley, keep right, and walk straight — and there it is! ✨
The noodles here are perfectly springy, the dumplings are juicy, and the flavors hit just right. We loved it so much we ended up ordering two plates plus drinks — and the best part? The total bill was only 120 THB (around RM15.50) for everything 😍
It’s the kind of spot you wouldn’t know about unless someone showed you, which makes it feel even more special. Affordable, authentic, and oh-so-delicious — this is the kind of hidden food treasure that makes traveling fun.
