A Spiritual Day Trip to Aglag Monastery (Mongolia)
Last weekend, I took a short but meaningful trip to Aglag Monastery, one of the most unique spiritual and natural destinations in Mongolia.
When I arrived, the place was already quite crowded. I parked my car near the entrance and began hiking uphill toward the monastery. The fresh air and peaceful atmosphere made the walk incredibly calming.
At the monastery, I spent some quiet time for reflection and prayer. After that, I explored the second floor, where I found a surprising collection of taxidermy animals—a very unique and interesting exhibit that caught my attention.
As I continued hiking further up the mountain, I discovered amazing rock formations, symbolic statues, hand-carved bridges, and spiritual sculptures nestled within nature. Each step felt like a journey through art, culture, and mindfulness.
If you’re looking for a day trip near Ulaanbaatar that combines natural beauty, culture, and spirituality, I highly recommend visiting Aglag Monastery. It’s a place that touches both your eyes and your soul.
