Visiting Hokkaido, this time I stayed at the Kitayuzawa Mori no Soraniwa Onsen Hotel. The hotel is located in an excellent location in Date, with convenient transportation that allows you to easily explore popular attractions and dining options. On the way back from visiting Lake Shikotsu on the outskirts of Sapporo, I took a little detour to Mushroom Kingdom. The mushroom soup was excellent. I also had mushroom mixed rice and tempura. This onsen resort is just amazing, they have lots of outdoor onsen to let you choose from! Of you live outdoor onsen, this resort is the best! They provide to free pick up from Sapporo station and drop off shuttle bus, that’s really convenient! We are surprise with the quality of the service, the outdoor & indoor onsens, the room, the dinner as well as the breakfast! After taking the cable car, take a taxi to the train station in 5 minutes 😂 (but it took more than 1 hour to walk 😂😂😂) To return to Sapporo at night, Toyako Station has a high-speed bus (Toyako Hot Spring - Nakayama Pass - Sapporo) directly to Sapporo, the journey is 2.5 hours (2780yen). My family got a seat right in front of it, so we could eat our meal in peace while watching our children play. The restrooms were also inside the buffet venue, and there was a diaper changing station, which was nice. Located in Mori no Soraniwa This is the first introduction to Asoboya! It was so much fun that we split into two groups (lol) Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are rules such as wearing masks, so we followed the rules, including inside the building, and had fun playing to the fullest. Everything is child-sized, with playhouses and blocks in the small house, and a fun swing that sways back and forth in the elevator hall, although it doesn't move. Cars that children can move by pedaling or turning the handle Yogibo and a picture book corner, and magnets that stick together. We were so excited to play here and there! The reason for the excitement continues in part 2...it can be used for day trips...I think I'll take them there again. This time, we chose a Japanese-Western style room, taking into consideration that our child is 2 years old and still running around. With tatami mats, you can take off your shoes and laze around, so it's recommended for adults too! And what I thought was great about this system was the amenities!!! In the elevator hall, there are amenities like those in the room, such as toothbrush sets and brushes, so please take only what you need!! This is great! You don't have to take what you don't need... but the ones in the room are a bit insufficient. I wish there was an extra toothbrush set for the kids, but there's no hassle of having to call the front desk! The kids can choose what they like and use it! It's fine if they both have the same color! Also, I wanted to use both my daughter and I'd like to use hair ties (lol), so we got a few extra and made sure we only used them in the hotel! It's also great that the hotel wear is available in the lobby! You can take it after checking in, there are three sizes for children, and even a large size for adults, so you don't have to ask the front desk for a larger size, so it's not embarrassing (lol) There are only towels in the room, but it was nice to be able to choose what you like! The good thing about the room was the power outlet by the pillow! This is essential for a smartphone, so it's a necessary point! There are two of them on both sides of the bed, so one person won't be far away. When eating breakfast, go early and choose this seat! ✨ Dinner and breakfast were mostly Japanese home-cooked meals, and the onsoba, fried food, and self-service kaisendon were really fresh and delicious. Midorinokaze Resort Kitayuzawa Review The hotel is located in the middle of a valley. The atmosphere is very nice, especially the outdoor onsen with a view of the snow. Buffet for both dinner and breakfast. There are many dishes. There are both Japanese and international menus. Desserts are worth the price. There is a car park (free of charge). Overall, I am very impressed. The atmosphere is good. The food is good. The onsen is the best! If I have a chance, I will definitely go back to stay again.
