East Route (enter and exit via Tianjun County): This is the most recommended and easiest route, almost entirely paved, suitable for sedans and city SUVs. The only thing to watch out for is some "wavy roads" and "bomb craters" in the middle section, requiring slow driving, but the road conditions have improved a lot compared to before. The total distance is about 195 kilometers, and driving round trip takes approximately 6-8 hours. South Route (enter and exit via Delingha): The road conditions mainly consist of unpaved gravel roads and bomb craters, making it more difficult. It is recommended for those with off-road or four-wheel-drive vehicles and experienced drivers. This route also offers magnificent scenery but is a huge challenge for both vehicles and driving skills. It is not recommended to take the south route alone. North/West Route: The most difficult, a professional off-road crossing route with extremely poor road conditions. Non-professional teams and hardcore off-road vehicles should not attempt this. 📸 Where to play after reaching the lakeside? There is about 1 kilometer of dirt road from the main road to the lakeside. After this 1 kilometer, you will see the vast lake surface. Here are several good spots to get down to the lake and photo positions: Hala Lake Stone Monument: The end point of the East Route and the most popular check-in spot. It faces Tuanjie Peak directly and is the best place to photograph the "heart-shaped" snow peak, creating a spectacular scene.
