Museo Casa Del Tejido Antiguo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Great Museum
#fallishere
This museum was very interesting as it shows many of the different trajes típicos/traditional Mayan clothing from different regions of Guatemala.
You can see a demonstration of the weaving process and receive a guided tour of the museum. The tour guides are happy to answer questions and share from their wealth of knowledge. They also have an impressive selection of antique/“vintage” woven pieces for sale.
Will highly recommended a visit if you are in Antigua

Sunflowers of Antigua Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Beautiful Sun Flowers
#fallishere
Super cute sunflower farm! Great place to relax and enjoy gorgeous sunflowers, against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains around Antigua. You can buy sunflowers or just come to enjoy the beautiful setting. There's even a play area for kids. Great place to get away from the city and enjoy nature! (It's also just down the road from another organic farm so you can visit both on the same day).
Entrance fee is 10Q

Antigua, Guatemala Cathedral Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Ruins of an ancient Church
#fallishere
Antigua Guatemala Cathedral Ruins is a remain of the church which use to occupy this space .
This is one of the most stunning ruins I have seen. It’s so well preserved and picturesque. It’s very beautiful to watch with the clouds pass by through the roofless nave, really beautiful. Inside there is not much to read on, couple of posts with information in spanish but there are picture/painting how the cathedral looked before its destruction. If you want to know more I’d recommend booking one of the walking tours
Entrance is 20Q

Hobitango
My trip to Hobitango was a charming and utterly groundbreaking experience. Hobitango is a unique tourist destination located in the mountains of Guatemala, inspired by the famous "Hobbit" movie. This site is an ideal destination for nature lovers and fantasy enthusiasts.
When I arrived at Hobitango, the beautiful scenery was very captivating. Surrounded by green meadows and towering hills, this place offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. Houses inspired by the Hobbit have been built there, resembling the small, round houses featured in the "Hobbit" movie.
In Hobitango, you can do many fun activities. You can explore the area and stroll through the green meadows, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and taste delicious Guatemalan cuisine. You can also enjoy fresh drinks and cocktails at a cozy and comfortable bar.
My trip to Hobitango was a unique and impressive experience. It is characterized by breathtaking natural beauty, houses inspired by the Hobbit, and fun activities. If you are looking for an extraordinary and enjoyable experience, I recommend visiting Hobitango.
