#skitrip What a gem of an independent garden centre with award winning cafe with tasty treats and friendly staff. A miniature railway around a landscaped area is a delight for kids. It also has a secret garden from an old quarry and a spooky overgrown maze and wildflower meadow along the Riverside which is abundant with wildlife. There are several plant nursery businesses on the large outdoor site. There is also a pleasant café with inside and outside space, unfortunately closed during the current lockdown. It is refreshing to find a proper nursery instead of the glorified retail premises that many garden centres have become.

We stayed at this hotel from August 30th to 31st while visiting nearby Coventry. Though we checked in a bit early, the reception team was wonderful and assured us it wasn't an issue. As Hilton Honors Diamond Members, this establishment truly surpassed our expectations. We received a very generous upgrade to the water suite. The suite was charming, facing the front with views of our parked car. The room was highly comfortable, featuring a massive bed, a cozy sofa, and a two-person double-ended bath. The breakfast buffet was abundant and beautifully arranged, offering both hot and cold dishes.

#postandearn I recently visited Coombe Abbey Country Park and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The walking routes were beautifully scenic and well-maintained, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The picturesque scenes are amazing! Everywhere is well maintained. The staff in the Info centre was helpful and I like the Discovery Centre as well, as it shows what to expect and it’s interactive. It also has a dog friendly cafe, a groomers and children's play area. The car park is very reasonable so you can enjoy a few hours here and not spend a fortune.

Instead of removing the ruins, they were preserved as a memorial to peace and reconciliation. Next to the old ruins now stands the modern Coventry Cathedral.
