Parikia is situated on a small hill overlooking the port of Paros, the island’s port with lovely old town famous for its historic ruins, churches and fairytale-like whitewashed windmills. 🏡 Absolutely enjoyed strolling the labyrinth like narrow, cobbled and painted cute alleyways. Tourist area as well as locals still live here, they open their business in the morning and close their shops for a few hours mid day. Paroikia is charming old town with its historic ruins, churches and picturesque corners. 🐈 🌺 Frankish Castle was built in the 1200s by the Venetian Sanoudo family on the site of the ancient acropolis in Paroikia, capital of Paros island. It’s not a real castle in Parikia of Paros, it’s named “kastro” (meaning castle) where there are some ancient walls and remains of a tower that used to be part of the castle. Wine tasting in Paros! Moraitis Winery is located just a 10 minute walk from Naoussa village. They are open from 12:00-20:00, Mondays to Saturdays and offer wine tasting with lunch or a cosy dinner. I visited alone and was clueless as to how the wine tasting would work. So here’s a little insider: 🍷Basically you can choose from a list of options as soon as you get there. You can choose either: red, white and rosé 2 whites and a rosé 3 whites etc, they have great options. Because I am not a fan of red I chose two whites and a rosé and this cost me just €10! I got to try three half glasses of wine, with a small platter of cheese and tomato for one. When they bring the wine over they tell you some information about the wine and also give you a leaflet with the information that you can can keep. I highly recommend this as an activity if you’re visiting Paros, it’s great for solo travellers, groups and family’s. More specifically, Paroikia is the centre of Paros where the port is there too. You can have a walk and take beautiful pictures (with the pink bougainvilleas and Cycladic houses). Moreover, I will recommend you restaurants and bars where you can go when it comes to visit Paroikia. 1. It’s a must to buy an ice-cream from the Vanilla Ice-Cream🍦🍨❤️ The most delicious ice cream in the island!! My favourite flavours are bueno, kinder surprise, Nutella (you have to try them🤤) 2. We collected our Seat automatic in the afternoon and (almost) ventured to a nearby village called Prodromos. Unfortunately, Mobbes mistakenly drove onto a dirt road and ended up on a tight corner. It took the better half of an hour (ok maybe not but it felt like it) to get out. A Parosian farmer magically appeared out of thin air and helped guide us out, using a mixture of (loud) Greek noises and (even louder) hand gestures. When I got back in the car, Mobbes declared “NO MORE TINY VILLAGES” so we went to Lefkes, a slightly less tiny village with clearer roads leading to it. #eurotrip I am back with yet another post on Acropolis because I can’t get over with it! The Acropolis of Athens is the most striking and complete ancient Greek monumental complex still existing in our times. It is situated on a hill of average height (156m) that rises in the basin of Athens. Its overall dimensions are approximately 170 by 350m. The hill is rocky and steep on all sides except for the western side, and has an extensive, nearly flat top. Strong fortification walls have surrounded the summit of the Acropolis for more than 3,300 years. The first fortification wall was built during the 13th century BC, and surrounded the residence of the local Mycenaean ruler. A day in Paros

Let's face it, all Greek islands are stunning. It's like they won the island lottery. This year, we explored Naxos and Paros in the Cyclades island group. The best part about them? The absolutely gorgeous beaches. The water is so clear and they stretch for miles. Of course, the mountain villages, the quaint towns, the ancient ruins - are all part of the deal too. So, how do you get there? Option 1: Fly from Athens (30 min) Option 2: Take a ferry from Athens of other nearby islands like the famous Santorini or Mykonos Therr are no international flights. Where do you stay? On Naxos, we stayed in Agios Prokopios and it was perfection. Close enough to the main town but right on a beautiful beach. We also did an island highlights tour which was well worth it. On Paros, we stayed in Parikia for convenience. But I'd caution against it, though our time was still nice. With the summer heat, ice cream became a daily ritual (no regrets), and iced coffees—especially frappés—kept us going between beach days and sightseeing. We sipped local wine, ate baklava for dessert (layers of honey-soaked pastry and nuts), and basically lived our best Mediterranean life.

One of the true highlights was the stunning balcony attached to my room — spacious, beautifully designed, and with views that made every morning coffee and sunset feel like a dream. Whether you’re here for a short getaway or a longer escape, this place strikes the perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and charm. Can’t recommend it enough — I’ll definitely be coming back!

#greekislandhopping Paros has a peaceful rhythm that draws you in. I strolled through the flower-lined streets of Naoussa, stopping to sip cold freddo espresso. Beaches like Kolymbithres and Santa Maria were ideal for lazy afternoons. There’s a charm in its simplicity, and the locals make you feel at home. Paros is now one of my top Greek islands! I would rate this experience 10/10

#greekislandhopping Island hopping from Mykonos to Paros was the perfect mix of glamour and calm. Mykonos dazzled with its nightlife and iconic windmills, but Paros felt like a peaceful secret. The ferry ride was short and scenic — just over an hour — with blue waters sparkling the whole way. Paros greeted me with quiet beaches, charming white villages, and authentic seafood tavernas. I loved wandering through Naoussa and watching fishermen at work. If you want a contrast from the crowds of Mykonos, Paros is an underrated gem that feels real and romantic.
