We received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The room provided great value, with a good size, cleanliness, comfort, and a cool ambiance. The hotel's location is excellent, situated opposite a variety of shops like Greggs, Costa, M&S Food, and B&M, offering plenty to do. A short walk to the bus stop outside allows easy access to Birmingham City Centre, Solihull, Coventry, and the airport. On-site car parking is ample; just remember to register your vehicle. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we plan to return when in the area.

Little overnight in Solihull doesn’t sound your thing? Think again. Visited on Wednesday, 8th April 2026, this charming museum offers a solo traveler a detailed journey through British Motorcycle history across five halls, ending in Hall 5 with British Motorsport Bikes. The free parking, though limited, was a plus. It was notably quiet during my visit, allowing uninterrupted views of the bikes. Each hall starts with an entry board listing the manufacturers displayed, and interactive videos add depth to the historical context. However, there were a few downsides. The ropes in front of the bikes detract from photo opportunities, and the display boards are positioned so low with small text that you have to kneel to read them. The shop and café add convenience, and the exhibit of Geoff Duke's medals and achievements is impressive but feels too tucked away for their significance. A more prominent display would do these accomplishments greater justice. The bike displays could benefit from more dynamic arrangements, as highlighted in Hall 5, where the motorsport bikes shine. Entry and exit areas showcase WLSR holders and attempts, shared with the National Conference Centre, though the blending of displays diminishes their individual impact. Overall, a little lottery funding could go a long way in refreshing and enhancing the experience.

Mid morning trip to Solihull

Our stay here was amazing! The beds are NOT over exaggerated, seriously the best sleep ever, so clean and was a perfect little get away, amazing deals on food, we paid for the plus room which came with tea and coffee and little chocolates which were amazing, there was a vanity mirror which came in handy with a hair dryer and the walk in shower was IMENCE definitely recommend.
