Grotto is a cave in Saipan. It is about 30 minutes by car from Saipan's main street (Crowne Plaza side), and it seems like you can do it by yourself, but it seems more convenient to go on a tour. STAR Marianas takes you from Saipan International Airport to Tinian Island in about 15 minutes, and to Rota Island in about 30 minutes. You board a small plane that seats 8 to 10 people. Tinian Diamond Hotel is said to be the most recently built hotel among the few hotels in Tinian. It was in a good location because it had an ocean view and there were restaurants and a supermarket right nearby. It was a small hotel with 3 floors in a yellow building. We checked in a little early, but there were no cleaned twin rooms, so we were assigned a double room in the middle of the 3rd floor.
