During my visit I collected useful Infos on prices and tips to share with anyone planning on visiting Venice and interested in riding a gondola. Standard official daytime gondola rates in Venice are €90 for a 30 minute private ride, while nighttime (from 7pm) tours cost €110 for 35 minutes. Official pricing is per boat (holding up to 5–6 passengers) rather than per individual! If you want to extend the time of your ride, prices are: €40 for an extra 20 minutes during the day and €50 at night. It's possible to share a ride for prices around €35 to €40 per person, this option needs to be booked via tour providers. ✨Practical Tips!!✨ · Confirm the price and duration first! Always agree on the route, length, and exact cost with the gondolier before stepping onto the boat. · Singing is extra! Standard rides do not include live singing or musical instruments unless explicitly negotiated and paid for beforehand. · Avoid main-stamped hubs for quiet routes! 🚩 Alleghe is a charming little village situated on a narrow plain between Lake Alleghe and the Dolomites mountain range in Belluno province, Veneto region, Italy. 🚩 The village has a population of approximately 1,500 people. It is a small, peaceful place with warm and friendly locals. 🚩 Nature-loving tourists often visit to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, and admiring the breathtaking views of the mountain ranges and the serene emerald-green lake. ✅✅ We were truly impressed! The hands of Figure 1 are exhibited by Italian sculptor Lorenzo Quinn during the Venice Biennale, near Rialto in the Rialto market in Venice. The zippered house in Figure 3 was designed by sculptor Alex Chinneck at the Milan Design Week in April this year in Tortona, Tortona, Milan. He likes "spoof" city landmarks and Old building. After the exhibition, the work has been removed, and now the works of the other hands of the author of Figure 1 can be seen at the Venice Biennale. Many people come to Venice to see the Rialto Bridge, St. Mark's Square, or the Grand Canal. But for me, the true charm of Venice lies in the small, unnamed alleyways not listed in any tourist guidebooks. Today, there was no plan, no destination, and no Google Maps. I simply let myself wander along the narrow, winding corridors, crossing small stone bridges over smaller canals, past old wooden windows with flower-adorned balconies, and through small squares hidden behind centuries-old buildings. In Venice, just one wrong turn can lead to a completely new view. Sometimes it's a quiet canal devoid of tourists; sometimes it's a small café where locals sip espresso in the morning; or sometimes it's an ancient bridge spanning narrow canals, as beautiful as a scene from a movie. What I loved most was the quietness of Venice once you get away from the main tourist attractions. Just a few hundred meters from St. Mark's Square, the crowds thinned out, leaving only the sound of water crashing against brick walls, the sound of delivery boats, and the faint murmur of Italian conversations carried on the breeze. Along the way, I also witnessed the true daily life of the Venetians: people loading goods onto boats, schoolchildren walking home, or grandmothers watering their plants in their windows. It's an ordinary sight that makes this city seem more alive than just a tourist destination. Venice is a unique city because there are no roads for cars, no engine noise, no traffic jams; only sidewalks, canals, and hundreds of bridges. Walking is therefore the best way to experience this city. Sometimes the joy of traveling isn't in reaching the destination, but in getting lost along the way. While visiting Milan to see my uncles, I took the metro to Porta Genova and enjoyed a lovely morning walk along the Navigli before lunch—a truly picturesque spot in the city. We stopped at this bar for an aperitivo and ordered two Hugo spritzes and one Aperol spritz. The waitress gave us a surprised "wow," understandable since aperitivo here is usually considered an evening tradition. Every region has its own customs, though, when it comes to food. The drinks were absolutely delicious! They cost about 8–9 euros each. We couldn’t help but smile as the locals at nearby tables, sipping cappuccinos and nibbling on pastries at 10:30 AM, gave us curious glances. In Veneto, it's perfectly normal to enjoy an aperitivo in the morning—it’s fascinating to observe and respect the unique habits of each place you visit as a guest or tourist.
