Excellent place!!! Must see!!! Parking is close to trail. Amazing walk along Jurassic coast. Nice view. Fill that you are at that time when dinosaurs lived. Nice beach. You can swim near a mountain that looks like a dinosaur!!! Again best is to go there at nice sunny summer day. Can book a ship to look see this amazing view from sea side. #uktrip Day 2 started quietly, but little did I know how perfect it would turn out. Woke up in Bournemouth, staying at the Royal Bath Hotel, with the calm coastal air setting the mood for the day. No fancy breakfast plans — just a classic Tesco meal deal to fuel what was about to be a long but unforgettable journey. Simple start, big plans. Later, I hopped on the bus that takes you through the forest areas towards Poole, passing through Sandbanks — honestly one of those routes where you just sit by the window and watch everything change outside. Trees, water, open roads… the ride itself felt like part of the adventure. Got dropped off at the bus stop for Old Harry Rocks, and that’s where the real Day 2 began. We started the trek from there, and wow — that walk towards Old Harry Rocks was something else. The views, the fresh air, the cliffs, the sea stretching endlessly… it was peaceful, freeing, and genuinely one of those moments where you forget about everything else. The trail was beautiful from start to finish, and I enjoyed every step of it. One of those days where your legs are tired but your mind feels lighter. After a full day of walking and soaking in nature, the evening was all about celebrating. Ended the day with the best dinner — pizza and a glass of wine at RL Murrino Beach & Bar Restaurant 🍕🍷. As if the day wasn’t already special enough, they surprised me with a slice of cake since it was my birthday 🥹🎂 — a small gesture that genuinely made the night. But of course, the day couldn’t end there. To finish things off properly, I headed to Cameo Nightclub for some partying, music, and late-night energy. From a Tesco meal deal in the morning to dancing the night away — Day 2 really had everything. Views, trekking, good food, birthday surprises, and unforgettable vibes. Day 1 began with coastal air and no rush — exactly how a trip should start. Touched down in Bournemouth and kicked things off with lunch at Harry Ramsden’s because honestly… burger + beer by the sea just hits different 🍔🍺. No schedule, no pressure, just good food and the sound of waves in the background. Since it was my first day, I decided to take it slow. Checked into the hotel, took a breather, and let the travel fatigue fade away. Later, I headed out to roam around Bournemouth beach, walking along the shoreline, watching the waves roll in, and just soaking in the calm. Sometimes the best plans are the unplanned ones. Ended the day back at the hotel, relaxed, recharged, and ready for what was coming next. Day 2 was for views, walking, and a bit of chaos 😅 Left early for Durdle Door, went up the track, and finally saw it in real life — one of those views that actually looks better than the pictures. After that, some trekking, then sitting by the beach, taking it all in, doing absolutely nothing for a while. Peaceful, quiet, and unreal. But the walking didn’t stop there. Headed towards the other end and trekked all the way to Lulworth Cove — tired legs but worth every step. While waiting for the bus back, I grabbed a burger and chips… or at least I tried to. In the blink of an eye, a seagull decided it was his lunch now 🕊️😭. Embarrassing? Yes. Funny? Also yes. To make it even better, the restaurant shut right after — no second burger, no revenge. Eventually made my way home, ordered Domino’s, relaxed, laughed about the chaos, and called it a day. Beach walks, long treks, iconic views, stolen burgers, and zero regrets. As part of the Southwest coast path, and a must see for the UK a walk between the iconic places. There is a regular bus from Weymouth and Poole and the train station at Wool. There is parking at both sites, however it is very expensive, and often catches visitors out as it has a parking fee to cover both sites. Look on their website for details. Both Durdle door and Lulworth are busy in peak summer times but are very lovely. The walk down onto the beach at Durdle is very steep and worth it, in my opinion. The beach is shingle, long and drops away to deep water quickly from the beach. There are a few snack style food huts at the car park and a toilet too. However there on the beach there is none, whatever you take down, you need to bring back up!! Lulworth has many pubs and cafe, an interesting museum too.

Sometimes you just need to get out of the city, even if it is just for a day. On a crisp morning in London, I hopped on a train from Waterloo with only one goal in mind: fresh air and the ocean. Three hours later, I found myself in the quiet countryside of Dorset, ready to see one of the most iconic coastlines in England: Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. 🚆 Getting There I took the morning train from London Waterloo to Wool, which took almost three hours. It felt long at first, but the moment the scenery shifted from buildings to endless fields, it already felt like a mini holiday. I arrived at Wool Station around 11 AM. As soon as I stepped onto the platform, I spotted the bus stop right in front of the station. The signs clearly showed routes to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, which made it completely stress free. Buses run periodically and the exact frequency depends on the season, so it is worth checking the timetable in advance. Overall, it could not have been easier. 📍First Stop: Durdle Door The bus drops you at the top of a hill and from there it is a short downhill walk to the viewpoint. The moment Durdle Door came into sight, I actually paused for a second. The massive limestone arch carved naturally by the sea feels unreal. No photo ever prepares you for how dramatic it looks in real life. You can walk down to the beach, which has a steep descent but is manageable. The beach is all pebbles, not soft sand, but the view makes up for everything. I stayed for a while just watching the waves crash through the arch. 📍Next Stop: Lulworth Cove From Durdle Door you can walk to Lulworth Cove. It takes around 25 to 40 minutes depending on how often you stop, and trust me, you will stop for photos because every part of the trail is stunning. Lulworth Cove has a completely different feeling compared to Durdle Door. It feels like a small and peaceful seaside village wrapped around a perfectly circular bay. I grabbed a snack near the water, wandered around the shoreline and just enjoyed the calm energy of the place. 🚆 Heading Back When it was time to return, I took the same bus back to Wool Station and then boarded the train back to London Waterloo. I arrived back in the city tired in the best possible way. Salty hair, sleepy eyes and the kind of quiet happiness that only nature can give. 💬 Final Thoughts and Budget Recap If you live in London or are visiting and you crave a breath of something real like cliffs, sea wind and open views, Dorset is the perfect escape. No car required and no complicated planning at all. Just a train and a bus that take you straight into nature. For a one day trip, this was my rough spending: Train: £30 to £45 Bus to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove: £8 to £10 Food: £10 to £15 (optional and based on preference) You can do this trip comfortably for £50 to £70 in total.
