Karakul Lake

Karakul Lake is located right next to National Highway 314, at the foot of the Muztagh Ata in the eastern Pamir Plateau. When we arrived, it was a bit cloudy and the scenery wasn't particularly stunning. So, we parked here and had some instant noodles. After finishing the noodles, the sky cleared up, revealing the distant snow-capped mountains, which, combined with the lake, looked absolutely beautiful. It is definitely worth a visit. It is said that Karakul Lake is a color-changing lake. Every morning after sunrise, the shimmering lake water changes color with the sun, sometimes deep blue, sometimes light yellow, and sometimes orange-red.
