Jubail:Deserted no More

Everytime they here the country-Saudi Arabia, most people hear stories about being one of the strict places you go into.However, we may introduce this quote with regards to this one- Do not judge the book by its cover. indeed this saying is very applicable to this. Personally, I will share you this- one of the places we recently visited here is Jubail. Jubail is located in the Eastern Province of the kingdom. A 5-6 hour ride since we are coming from Riyadh. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights.We booked an apartment consisting of 2 rooms, each with pricate bathrooms and kitchenette, shared living and dining rooms. We arrived at around 8pm, took a rest, dine together and prepared for the next day excursion. In the next morning we started our holiday with a boat trip, we wanted to catch the sunrise while on the shore- and yes, we had a great time for only 150 SAR/hour for the boat rental. It was follwed by swimming into an open area where we had to wear proper swimming attires. We had a scrumptious lunch, where we bought in the fish market and it was also cooked on the same place-it was very cheap than eating on luxurious restaurants. The next day, we went to Banana beach. It is a private resort where you you could rent a villa for atound 5 hours. We bought food prior to the villa staycation. Guess what, we went for a swim again and this time, we had the liberty to wear any clothing for swimming. Overall, we enjoyed the trip, and if you will have the chance to visit Jubail- I highly recommend going around November and around April, where winter just started and summer is about to start.
