The pearl of the Badain Jaran Desert

In the depths of the desert, there is actually a temple, and this small oasis is known as Sumin Jilin, also called Temple Lake. Although the lake is saline, it is full of life, and the groundwater near the temple is drinkable. Blue sky, clear lake, yellow sand, and green grass create a harmonious picture. No wonder this place is hailed as the pearl of the Badain Jaran Desert. It is said that in the past, the temple's abbot had to ride a camel for two weeks to go shopping, but now, with the desert vehicles, it only takes 3 hours. The area is quite small, and it takes only half an hour to walk around. After having lunch at the tin-roofed restaurant, taking a nap, sipping some tea, I wanted to listen to the lamas chanting and performing rituals, but unfortunately, I couldn't understand, so I quietly left the crowded small temple. It's better to sit in a cool place and enjoy the scenery.
