Known as China's most beautiful desert, the Badain Jaran Desert

Badain Jaran Desert: Located in the northern part of Alxa Right Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China, to the west of the Yabulai Mountains, north of Beidashan, east of the weak water, and south of Guizi Lake, spanning from 39°34' to 42°N latitude, it covers an area of 49,200 square kilometers. It is the third largest desert in China and the fourth largest in the world. Badain Jaran is praised by National Geographic China as 'the curves drawn by God'. The annual precipitation here is less than 40 millimeters, yet it boasts 144 inland lakes. The Badain Jaran Desert is the main body of the Alxa Desert in Inner Mongolia. The long-term wind action has formed unique landscapes of singing sands, lakes, miraculous springs, peculiar peaks, and temples, known as the 'Five Wonders' of the Badain Jaran Desert. The Baoritaolegai Singing Sand Dunes in the Badain Jaran Desert rise over two hundred meters high, with steep peaks and sharp ridges, varying in height and creating a melodious sound when the wind blows, earning the reputation of 'the Kingdom of Singing Sands' in the world. The lakes in the desert are scattered like stars, with reeds growing around them, waterfowl playing, and fish swimming in the shallow waters, known for their beauty as 'the Jiangnan of North of the Great Wall'. The edges of the desert are vast with Gobi, where the peculiar wind-eroded rocks, mushroom stones, stone pillars, and grand canyon landforms are breathtaking. Sand dunes, singing sands, lakes, green grass, birds, blue sky, ancient temples, steeds, camels, and the blending of water and sky form a unique desert landscape. The desert is vast with sand and desolation, but it still harbors rocks, grasslands, and lakes, with tenacious and peculiar flora, showcasing the indomitable vitality of nature.
