🌸 Forget Japan's crowds and costs – head to China for a breathtaking cherry blossom experience. Black Dragon Pool Park in Lijiang is an absolute must-visit during cherry blossom season. I was lucky enough to visit in early April and witness a stunning array of cherry blossoms in full bloom. 
🌸 Located at the base of Xiang Mountain, at the northern tip of Lijiang's ancient city, Black Dragon Pool – also known as Dragon King Temple – offers a serene escape just a short drive away. It's easily accessible from Lijiang's ancient city, less than 30 minutes by DiDi.

🌸 Operating hours are from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM for the scenic area and until 4:00 PM for mountain climbs. 
🌸 Admission costs around 80 CNY for adults and 40 CNY for children, payable via Alipay or WeChat Pay on-site. 
🌸 Beyond its natural beauty, Black Dragon Pool boasts a wealth of cultural treasures, including well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture scattered throughout the park. Highlights include the iconic Two Moon Pond and the Three Unique Trees from different dynasties. Don't miss key attractions like Deyue Tower, the Ancient Theatre, and Wufeng Tower. The park also features the picturesque Heilongtan Ming and Qing Dynasty Ancient Building Complex, designated as a national cultural relic.
