Ross Sea, the place where China is building its 5th Antarctic research station

The new station in the Ross Sea is located on Inexpressible Island in the Antarctic Ross Sea, with a building area of 5244 square meters. The main design is in the shape of the Southern Cross, the design concept comes from the Southern Cross used by Chinese navigator Zheng He for navigation. This will be our country's third permanent research station after the Great Wall Station and Zhongshan Station, and it is also our country's 5th research station in Antarctica.
