How to play like a local in Bali?

As an island formed by volcanic eruptions, the most distinctive feature of Bali is not the jellyfish sea and white sandy beaches, but the endless black sand beaches formed by the Indian Ocean's surging waves crashing against volcanic rock walls. The Sulibie Villa, with black, white, and green as its main color scheme, may not be "very Bali" under the scorching sun of the southern hemisphere, but it is the most authentic representation of Bali. Behind the hotel is a large area of rice fields and villages, where villagers live a primitive life of slash-and-burn agriculture. Experiencing Bali here is not just about going to the night market and ordering a big plate of seafood, but also about working together with the villagers, sitting down and chatting about gods and the Great Wall. I really enjoy this non-commercial way of traveling, where memories of watching the wind blow through the rice paddies under the coconut trees and chatting over tea with villagers are much more profound than just taking photos for social media.
