Water Temple

The Water Temple, also known as the Ulun Danu Temple, is located on the shore of Lake Bratan and is a temple completely built on the water, dedicated to the lake goddess Dewi Danu. The temple was built in 1633 and was the largest royal temple at the time, with an architectural style that combines elements of Hinduism and Buddhism. The Ulun Danu Temple is the only sight of Bali printed on Indonesian shield banknotes. Due to its unique geographical location and architectural style, it attracts many tourists to visit. The natural scenery around the temple is also very beautiful. Lake Bratan is surrounded by the mountains of the Bedugul Plateau. The lake is clear and calm, sometimes surrounded by mist, giving people a feeling of being in a fairyland.
