Exploring the Sumampan Waterfall, a hidden gem in Ubud, Bali

#traveldiaries#nature#waterfall#bali The Sumampan Waterfall isn't a famous tourist spot, despite being close to the busy tourist town of Ubud, Sumampan Waterfall remains somewhat of a hidden gem. The waterfall plummets over a 10 meter high stone wall, surrounded by lush vegetation and unique stone carvings. It's quite easily accessible, we had taken around 25 minutes to the south of Ubud by scooter. Reach there at 8.30 in the morning, after bought the admission tickets at the entrance, we had simple but delightful breakfast at the cafe nearby. The route opens up onto a sweeping ricefield on one side and some local houses. Moreover, the area still preserved and kinda bit wild on the way down to the waterfall, there have some unique stone cravings along the way. Continuing short hike about 100 steep steps, we got our first view of the waterfall and were taken aback by its beauty, absolutely stunning! ▶Admission fee: 20,000 IDR per pax ▶Parking charge: Free ▶The Sumampan Waterfall is open to visitors 7-days a week from 6 am - 6 pm. 📍Location: Kemenuh, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali 80581, Indonesia.
