While the immediate area is all hustle and bustle, the atmosphere throughout the Dipan Resort is laid back and interiors are contemporary and elegant. Iconic photographs of Bali and Indonesia line the cafe and lobby walls, helping to remind guests where they are -- as if there was any question about this, given the vibrant green landscaping all around. Like many small boutique resorts in this part of Bali, the action centers on the hotel's pool, which is set in a tropical garden surrounded by white stone walls, thick green foliage, palms, and flowering frangipani. The calm vibe is helped by a handful of private and cozy places to unwind or socialize, including a wooden gazebo by the pool and the hotel's cafe. Despite its large, mutli-room villas, the Dipan mostly draws couples, which isn't a surprise given the romantic, exclusive vibe and the location near plenty of dining and drinking. #createwithtrip #staycation

Sea Circus is a fun cafe which ensures a bright start to the morning! The venue is located off the main strip, but it is close to the beach and nestled amongst other food venues, just around the bend from KuDeTa. The food is fresh and delicious and the vibe is happy and relaxed. With its fun menu and fresh food, this is the perfect setting for enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink! With gluten-free and vegan options, the menu here is fresh, fun and very fulfilling! The fresh juice is refreshing and the smoothies are even better! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try their selection of sweet things, but the dessert menu also sounds amazing. #createwithtrip

A stone cold hit since day one, Sisterfields has to be one of the most popular restaurants in Seminyak. With lines out the door every single day for brekkie, lunch and dinner, it’s fair to say that this Melbourne-inspired cafe is doing something right. Fear not though, the service at Sisterfields is always faultless, so it’s never long before the ever-smiling staff have you settled in, sipping and snacking away on the incredible, Instagrammable dishes. Overall I could see where that RAVING review came from! The ambiance was great, service was very nice and friendly, the food was delicious (with relatively BIG portions too!). It was a little steep in terms of prices, but I don’t really mind much anyway! Recommended! #createwithtrip

Coffee Cartel is a boutique coffee shop based in popular Seminyak, and was created in the heart of Wollongong, just south of Sydney Australia, where its sister cafe, Lower East was born. The owners loved Bali so much that they decided to bring their passion to the beautiful island and they even roast their own coffee which is now also sold in the shop. Coffee Cartel is most definitely a brunch place, with an extensive menu, that's not only colourful but healthy too. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, which always makes a place that much more special. Local and ethical beauty products, as well as accessories are for sale downstairs, so take some spare cash for a little spend. This straw fan was my favourite, perfect for hot days at the beach and easy to pack to take home too. Such a lovely little stop in Seminyak, I'd highly recommend a visit and don't forget to try the carrot cake. #createwithtrip

Founded by Executive Chef Luigi Calcagno this farm-to-table Italian restaurant is a true gem with authentic Italian flavour. Their made-from-scratch mouthwatering cuisine accompanied by romantic cozy interiors and jazz nights create this unique ambience that sends you straight to Italy self. Zibiru is worth visiting if you want a romantic dinner with your better half or a cozy evening with friends. Their food is made from the best offerings of organic farms in Bali, fresh fish and meat are delivered daily, the wine list is extensive, live jazz is played Wednesday through Saturday. If you find yourself in Bali, you don’t want to miss out on this gem of a restaurant. There is something for everyone at Zibiru and Bottega Italiana. If you time your visit right, you might even be able to catch a pasta making workshop, or an evening of live jazz. #createwithtrip

Born in Petitenget, Seminyak and now spreading its fresh taste to Kuta and Canggu, Cafe Organic will amaze you with the selection of divine organic food. Dubbing themselves as Garden Gangsters of Bali, these guys offer healthy nutrient-rich meals sourced from locally farmed ingredients that are sourced daily. The menu is mostly vegetarian and vegan but one with a less strict diet will be happy to find some cool egg choices for breakfast or some parmesan grated pasta for lunch or dinner. Now if you feel like boosting your energy levels when leaving the comfort of your Seminyak holiday villa, the variety and ingenuity of living food on the menu here are wonderful. The menu at Cafe Organic has something for everyone with healthy salads, smoothie bowls, kombuchas and avo toasts. Add to this a great selection of organic coffees and desserts combined with excellent service, laid-back atmosphere and light interior brightened by the beautiful wall murals this should be high on your priority list for those yearning for an organic food hit. #createwithtrip

Set in lovely, lush gardens, the Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa consists of 16 villas featuring modern Balinese architecture that includes sloped, thatched roofs and partially open-air designs. Surrounding landscaped grounds adhere to Feng Shui principles and bloom with tropical flowers, palm trees, and lush plants as well as soothing water features dotted throughout. The atmosphere is serene and feels secluded, though it’s a short walk to bustling streets filled with shops and restaurants. Guests are greeted under a thatched roof in an open-air lobby where gleaming, cream-colored tile floors are matched by a sleek front desk topped with a fresh flower arrangement. The on-site restaurant is similarly simple in style with an open-air design overlooking the green gardens, typical thatched roof, and a collection of tables topped in white linens. There’s plenty of lounge areas throughout the property, be it comfy, cushioned couches in a cabana by the pool, or lounge space in the small library. #createwithtrip #staycation

The Seminyak Beach Resort has a peaceful atmosphere, with beautifully landscaped grounds dotted with stone statuettes, traditional wooden pavilions that double as private cabanas, lily ponds, and wooden bridges crossing over serene streams. The main building (known as the Beach Wing) is located adjacent to the beach and is where most of the rooms and hotel amenities are, including two of the three pools, the restaurant, the spa, and the fitness center. The Garden Wing is located across the street from the main section and houses 30 rooms and a pool with a swim-up bar. The main lobby is airy and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an off-white palette throughout. The design here may lack the wow factor of other high-end hotels in the area, but wood carved chairs with traditional motifs, padded stone and wood benches, and colorful artwork adds some local charm to the lobby. This mix of contemporary decor and traditional Balinese elements continues in the rest of the common spaces and the rooms. Most guests are couples, including a good number of honeymooners, though families with kids can also be seen hanging out at the pool. #createwithtrip #staycation

Chic contemporary hotel with plenty of boutique charm with appeal for couples and friends. U Paasha Seminyak is a charming, artsy hotel that fits in perfectly in the boutique category. Don't come here expecting an abundance of traditional Balinese style, though -- the hotel is a contemporary exercise in design that melds industrial-chic details and classic Balinese tastes. When guests enter the five-floor building they receive a free welcome drink in the striking open-plan lobby with soaring ceiling, tiled walls, and a section of striated-wood walls. The lighting is low and the atmosphere is chic. One section has a mid-century modern look characterized by pod-shaped chairs and a long blue sofa. The lobby-level bar also has a cool, stylish aesthetic. The restaurant features light-wood furnishings, light coverings that look like wicker baskets, and floor-to-ceiling windows to let light in. Clientele at this hotel tends to skew young, and the hotel draws mostly couples and small groups of friends. #createwithtrip #staycation

The vibe at Kokonut Suites is tranquil and laid-back, though also stylish and contemporary. The property is built around a lush tropical garden area; the freeform pool is set within a tropical garden, and is the focal point of the property. The pool is surrounded by a large deck lined with plenty of seating, including comfy couches and lounge chairs. It's worth noting that the pool is a hub of activity throughout the day and can get loud at times, especially as many families with young children come through the hotel. Meals are served in the street-side Livingstone Restaurant, which has an upbeat vibe and chic urban decor. The huge two-story restaurant features open-air seating as well as indoor air-conditioned sections. The buzzing restaurant is one of Petitenget's breakfast and coffee hotspots and is popular with both in-house and outside guests. The hotel is popular with a younger crowd and features facilities that are well suited for families, couples, and single travelers. Guests should note that the hotel has three floors and there are no elevator facilities, so families with small children or those who have difficulties climbing stairs will want to request a ground floor room. #createwithtrip #staycation

Desa Muda Village is a laid back small-scale hotel with a family-friendly vibe. There are plenty of common areas to relax throughout the property, both indoors and by the pool. Although located in downtown Seminyak, the hotel feels far removed from the area's hustle and bustle, and the setting is tranquil. The facilities and pathways are lined with dense tropical greenery, tall trees, palms, and flowering frangipani. There are two swimming pools and plenty of lounge chairs laid out, so the pools rarely get crowded. A smaller freeform pool adjoins the restaurant and has a nice setting, with a large natural stone patio, manicured gardens, and rock water features. It is worth noting that the villas here don't feel as secluded and private when compared to many other all-villa hotels in Seminyak. Overall the ambience throughout the property is more family oriented, and those looking for easy walks to the beach may want to look elsewhere. #createwithtrip #staycation

The Hotel Horison Seminyak opened in 2012 and has a somewhat trendy atmosphere -- that's all the more refreshing because rates here area far lower than much its competition in this category. Bold silver lettering marks the entrance to the property, a four-story building with wooden balconies and a traditional Balinese-style accents. Despite being located in a congested area popular with tourists, the hotel has a serene air thanks to its being set on a side street. Inside, the open-air lobby features flower-patterned floor tiles, a striking marble front desk, and wooden slats overhead to allow in sunlight. Purple touches are seen throughout the hotel, from the poolside lounge chairs to benches in the lobby to napkins at the ManiManika Restaurant. The modern vibe, central location, and affordable rooms attract mainly younger couples. The free Balinese costume dress-up program is popular, as is the rooftop, with its hot tub, bar with happy hour specials, and sunset views. Of course, it's also just as easy to walk over to the beach to take in the evening display. #createwithtrip #staycation
