Cultural Immersion at Saraswati Temple, Ubud

Located a few minutes walk from the Ubud Palace, the Saraswati Temple is a beautiful temple hosting many local cultural events. The bridge towards the temple is flanked by lotus ponds, making the entrance towards the temple gateway a beautiful photo backdrop. While the temple interior seemed closed to public when we were there, we were happily greeted by a local at the side entrance and were welcomed into the inner temple where a blessing ceremony was taking place. We believe it was a private event and felt very lucky to have witnessed this interesting occasion. The local ladies wore intricate lace kebayas that were really beautiful!
