It was built in 1831-1839, a Siheyuan-style three-story through-beam wooden structure building that combines western Sichuan folk houses and Western Gothic architectural styles. It has gone through more than 170 years of wind and rain, and is the oldest, best-preserved, and all-wooden ancient church building in the southwest region and even China.
