Guangxi Beihai - Weizhou Shengtang Catholic Church

Weizhou Shengtang Catholic Church is located in Shengtang Village, Weizhou Island Scenic Area, Haicheng District, Beihai City. The tall and majestic cathedral, against the backdrop of the low houses around, appears large in scale and quite imposing. Weizhou Shengtang Catholic Church was built by missionaries from the Paris Foreign Mission Society in France and was completed in 1880. The church is a Gothic building, 21 meters high, with a total construction area of 774 square meters. Including the affiliated buildings, the total area reaches more than 2,000 square meters, making it the largest Catholic church in the coastal area of Guangxi.
