Bai Waterfall Temple in Western Beijing

Deep in the mountains, the Bai Waterfall Temple is not particularly accessible by car, but having finally visited it today, it truly lives up to its reputation. Originally, this was an ancient temple from the Liao Dynasty, with the relics of eminent monks on the mountain. It is said that Bai Waterfall Temple is also known as the 'Evil Temple' because of the unimaginably grand offerings and statues here. For this reason, out of devotion and humility, it is advised not to take photos of the giant deities and Buddhas. 🌟Highlights: The Giant Buddha in the Car God Hall at the entrance ensures safe travels, with a fierce face that can ward off evil, no picture provided. The Yunxiao Hall in the first picture has a large bell underneath, which is also used for blessing. The Guanyin Hall on the right side of the mountain gate shares a courtyard with the monks' residence and is the main hall for blessings, with higher standards. The highest main hall has two giant mountain deities standing by the door, and after entering, one must climb very high and rather steep steps. I visited in early March, and the snow on the mountain had not yet melted, making it an absolutely cool retreat in the summer. 📝Note tips: Those with a fear of large objects, especially children who are scared, should enter with caution. Those with poor leg strength are advised not to climb the mountain or visit the highest main hall, as the slope is very steep. 📝Note tips: Do not take photos of the Buddhas and mountain deities just for the sake of checking in. 🚉Transportation Strategy: Drive to the parking lot, as the mountain roads are difficult to navigate since the ascent and descent share the same path. It is recommended to arrive early to try to descend the mountain around 12 o'clock when there are fewer cars. Other modes of transportation are currently not feasible, and it is estimated that it would take an hour to walk from the base of the mountain to the entrance, and there is no public transportation to the foot of the mountain.
