A commercial street with a history of hundreds of years

"Beijing Wangfujing Shopping Street", also known as: Gold Street, is one of the ancient bustling commercial centers of Beijing, and also a gathering place for Beijing's time-honored brands. Wangfujing Street was established during the Yuan Dynasty, and has a history of over 700 years, historically known as "Shi Wangfu Street" and "Wangfu Main Street". In 1915, it was officially named Wangfujing Street, which originated from a well on the street since the mid-Ming Dynasty. In 1998, during the renovation of Wangfujing Street, this well was excavated. This street has been the most prosperous commercial area in Beijing from the end of the Qing Dynasty to the present, leading the trend for a century.
