A Unique Summer Activity for Kids: Celebrating David's 25th Birthday!

On Children's Day, we took the kids👦 to David's birthday party🥳, which was full of fun activities and joy. David's birthday party🎊 was held in several locations in Beijing over the past two days, and we attended the event co-hosted by Enlightening Children's Books and Yangmeihong at the Parkview Green Fangcaodi. A special activity area was set up on the B1 floor, attracting many children, with some boys even wearing David's signature blue and white striped T-shirt👍. ✅ Live Story Performance: The staff uncle led the children in a live reading of "David, No!"📚. The birthday party's star, "David," made an appearance at the event, and their collaborative story performance vividly recreated the energetic and mischievous David from the picture book📖, who is repeatedly told by his mother🗣️ "No!" Whether or not the children👦 had read the book before, they could all relate to David and find resonance in the story. ✅ Draw Your Own David: For this birthday party, the author🧑‍🎨 David Shannon even recorded a special video🎦 to participate in the event, teaching the children🎨 how to draw their own version of the "wild child." David Shannon also explained how to highlight the features of the mischievous boy, such as drawing one nostril larger than the other because the naughty David loves to pick his nose🤭. Following the author's guidance, the children also drew their own versions of David, which turned out to be very cute. ✅ DIY Craft Activity: The children took David's head, body, and limbs from the cardboard🖼️, assembled them with brads, and created a David puppet. The kids were thrilled to take home a cute "David" for free🆓. After the event, the children eagerly took photos with the David puppet📸, and there were also David series children's books📚 and limited-edition merchandise for sale.
