Beijing | Linglong Park

Beijing Linglong Park is located in the Cishou Temple in Balizhuang, Haidian District, Beijing. Originally named 'Yong'an Wanshou Pagoda', it was built in imitation of the Tianning Temple Pagoda. The famous building in the park is the Cishou Temple Pagoda, also known as Yong'an Wanshou Pagoda or Balizhuang Pagoda, which was built during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty. Next to the pagoda, there are two beautifully carved steles from the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, depicting the images of Guanyin and Guandi. In 1990, the Haidian District government built Linglong Park around the Linglong Pagoda, covering an area of about 7 hectares (including 0.3 hectares of water surface). Linglong Park has a beautiful environment with lush vegetation and shaded green trees. The southern part is a regular garden, while the northern part is a natural landscape, with pavilions, lakes, and winding streams set among them. The main attractions include the Locomotive Square, Central Lake Area, Coming and Going Pavilion, Viewing Platform, Jian Pool, Flower Viewing Area, Under-tree Activity Area, Fitness Square, and Children's Activity Area. The park is open from 6 am to 8 pm in the summer and from 7 am to 7 pm in the winter, with free admission. Visitors can take the subway line 6 or line 10, get off at Cishou Temple Station, exit from Exit I, cross the overpass and walk east to reach the park.
