Citywalk Guanghe Building Qianmen Street

Walking around Qianmen Street in Beijing, you should visit Guanghe Building. Guanghe Building was once one of the oldest theaters in Beijing, with a history of over 300 years. It was originally called Chajia Building, where officials, wealthy merchants, and celebrities would drink tea and watch plays, and it also attracted many theater enthusiasts, gaining great fame. After being rebuilt following a major fire, it was renamed Guanghe Building, and famous performers like Mei Lanfang have performed there. Now, it is relatively quiet compared to Qianmen Street, with markets, restaurants, and frequent various activities. Sitting by the fountain under the shade of trees at sunset is quite enjoyable. Walking around Qianmen Street, the Dashilan, Guanghe Building, and Xianyukou on both sides are also worth a look.
