The upcoming Shichahai will amaze the entire summer

In a week or two, Beijing will welcome the blooming of lotus flowers. Among the many places to appreciate lotus flowers, I still prefer Shichahai. Although it is not very large, it is poetic enough, like a pearl embedded in the alleys of Beijing. Perhaps it is because Shichahai itself is very rich in history. The local atmosphere of the alleys and the historical memories of the Bell and Drum Towers are all gathered in this area. The lotus flowers here have a down-to-earth feeling. Walking on the boardwalk in front of the Lotus Market in Qianhai, the moist air of the lake is mixed with the fragrance of lotus flowers. The willows on the shore are swaying, and the small boats in the water are rocking. The rowing boats shuttle among the summer lotuses, drifting with the green waves. Sitting in the pavilion, enjoying the graceful lotus flowers in the afternoon, feeling the breeze and smelling the lotus fragrance, the scorching days seem not so hard to endure. Lotus viewing period: Expected in early July, photos were taken on July 8 last year. Location: Shichahai - Lotus Market Lotus Viewing Area. Lotus viewing route: Beihai North Subway Station, Lotus Market, Qianhai North Bank, Qianhai East Bank → Shichahai Subway Station. Transportation: Subway Line 8 Shichahai Station or Line 6 Beihai North Station. Shichahai Boat Tour: Tickets are sold at Haomeng Jiangnan Pier, Lotus Market Pier, Dibai Pier, Former Residence Pier, and Wild Duck Island Pier from 9:00 to 18:00, with ticket sales stopping at 17:00. Night sailing time is from 18:00 to 24:00. Boat types (per hour per boat): Four-person electric boat: 240, Four-person pedal boat: 180, Six-person electric boat: 280, Rowing boat: 80, about 30 minutes. Tips: 1. Besides lotus flowers, Shichahai in summer also has sunsets and evening glow. Choose a good weather day, and the summer sunset is after 7 PM. 2. You can take a boat at any of the three piers in Qianhai. It is recommended to take a boat after 5 PM when it is cooler. Remember to take sun protection measures.
