Mid-Autumn Rituals | Enjoying Osmanthus at the Summer Palace.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, I managed to squeeze out two hours in the afternoon to take my child to the Summer Palace. We strolled around Kunming Lake and admired the osmanthus in front of the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity. My child asked if it was a custom to admire osmanthus during the Mid-Autumn Festival every year. I don't think so. After all, not all parts of the country can grow osmanthus. It's just that our family has made it a habit to go once a year. This is our family's ritual. There were fewer people in the Summer Palace at 5 pm, and many people were waiting to admire the moon. Unfortunately, there was no moon today, but the moon was big and bright last night. The osmanthus is fragrant on the 15th of August.
