Xinjiang Pottery Art Exhibition.

Xinjiang, also known as the Western Regions, was officially incorporated into the territory of the motherland when the Western Han Dynasty established the Protectorate of the Western Regions in Xinjiang in 60 AD. However, the exchanges and integration between Xinjiang and the Central Plains began as early as prehistoric times. Symbols of Chinese civilization such as painted pottery, jade, and silk closely connect the Central Plains with the Tianshan Mountains, Kunlun Mountains, and Altai Mountains. The history of pottery making in Xinjiang is long, and pottery from different periods has different characteristics, carrying regional culture and witnessing the exchanges between Eastern and Western civilizations. This exhibition selects pictures of pottery unearthed in Xinjiang from prehistoric times to various periods, as well as related objects of pottery technology included in the national list of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage, as the main content of this exhibition, to show the historical culture, modern life and future inheritance carried by pottery. Each piece of pottery sparkles and nourishes the Chinese skills and state of mind. Water, mud, firewood, and the metallic luster refracted by the glaze, the five elements are repeated, and life is endless.
