National Treasure Check-in: Beihai and Tuancheng (National Level 1).

Beihai and Tuancheng, the first batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units, Qingming, ancient architecture category. During the Liao, Jin and Yuan dynasties, it was a royal palace garden called Taiye Pool, with Qionghua Island in the middle. During the Ming Dynasty, the pool was extended southward to form three seas: North, Middle and South, collectively known as Xiyuan. During the Qing Dynasty, a white pagoda in the shape of an inverted bowl was built on Qionghua Island, which was the highest point of the imperial city. Tuancheng was originally a small island south of Beihai. During the Ming Dynasty, it was surrounded by a crenellated wall. During the Qing Dynasty, a four-sided pavilion called Chengguang Hall was built in the city, with a large jade sea called Dushan in front of it, which was ordered to be made by Kublai Khan. On the north coast, there are many architectural landscapes, such as the Xiancan Altar for sacrificing the silkworm god, the "garden within a garden" Haopu Jian and Jingxinzhai, the Buddhist temple Xiaoxi Tian, and the Nine-Dragon Wall. Last year, when I visited Beihai, it was a Monday, and basically all the gardens within the garden were closed. This time, I visited during the National Day holiday. Although there were many tourists, most of the venues were open. I touched the golden nanmu pillars of Kuai Xue Tang, admired the white pagoda up close, and it happened to be the Beijing Chrysanthemum Exhibition, so the experience was very good.
