The royal farm of the past is now a tourist attraction.

Located in the northwest of the Summer Palace, the "Farming and Weaving Picture Scenic Area" dates back to the 15th year of the Qianlong reign (1750). At that time, Emperor Qianlong used the natural conditions of rivers, lakes, rice fields, and mulberry trees to create a pastoral landscape of men farming and women weaving, and named it "Farming and Weaving Picture." In 1860, the Farming and Weaving Picture Scenic Area was destroyed, and in 1886, Empress Dowager Cixi built a water training school on the ruins of the Farming and Weaving Picture Scenic Area. In 2004, the scenic area was fully opened after reconstruction, including Yanshang Zhai, Dyeing and Weaving Bureau, Silkworm God Temple, Farming and Weaving Picture Stone Carving Gallery, and the restored Water Training School.
