The Palace Museum: Discover the stories of the Forbidden City

As soon as I stepped through the red gates of the Forbidden City, I was enveloped by a solemn and tranquil atmosphere, and all my worries seemed to disappear. Walking along the central axis, I saw the Hall of Supreme Harmony standing there, its grandeur and majesty captivating me. I thought to myself, "What are my worries compared to this? This hall has withstood hundreds of years of wind and rain." - As I walked further into the inner court, the narrow paths between the palace walls led me to look up at the sky. The blue sky and slow-moving clouds made my steps lighter. The courtyards of the six palaces on the east and west sides were lined up one after another. What once seemed like a place of seclusion and melancholy now felt like a place full of untold stories and warm memories. Perhaps some of the bricks and tiles had heard the concubines chatting and joking, turning their worries into smoke and clouds. -
