Day trip to Maiofengshan scenery spot.

So today we decided to take a trip out of the city, after going through the many place recommended on trip.com, we decided to go to Miaofengshan scenery spot. The ride there from Choayang was pretty smooth, we didn't get any traffic. Driving up the mountain was AMAZING, we saw some animals all over, Including a squirrel. The trip from Beijing to the location, took about 2hours. When we finally got there, it wasn't too busy, and there was lots of parking, but because of the snow, it was a little cold, still beautiful, We had tobwalk from the parking to the entrance. It costs 40rmb for adults, children are free. Once inside, there is a path to follow, with some art on the walls(see photos), there are stairs to the left, and right, and both sides have Amazing views, there are some binoculars you have to scan and pay to use, but we didn't, as it cost more than our tickets(88rmb). On the one side they also have a temple, Where people were burning incence, and praying, the smell was a little overwhelming, like most temples. We spent about 1hour there before returning to our car. This scenery is pretty far from the city, and there is not much to do, so was it worth it? I would say yes.. It was nice to see the Beautiful views, and to get out of the city.. Will I do it again? No, It's too far, and there is not much else to do there. #roadtrip

Beijing

As Beijing is becoming one of the most important international financial centers in China, Beijing CBD was recently positioned as the secondary core area in Beijing's International Financial Center Development strategic plan published in May, 2008. The city is renowned for its opulent palaces, temples, parks, gardens, tombs, walls and gates. It has seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites—the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Ming Tombs, Zhoukoudian, and parts of the Great Wall and the Grand Canal—all of which are popular tourist locations. But a little City tour can even make your visit special. more images from Artmostfree on Instagram @artmostfree #china #café#beautifulsunsets#historicculture#roadtrip#hotelstay#urbanexplorer

MuTianYu Great Wall

During a spontaneous weekend away, we found ourselves gliding up the Great Wall in a chairlift, leaping up the stairs of the Mutianyu section of the great wall, marvelling at the lsuh greenery surrounding this wonder of the world, before toboganning back down again 2 hours later. A weekend hiking up and along the wall always makes for a fun, adventure-filled weekend, and it's amazing to think that this incredible part of China's history and culture is mere hours away from Shanghai by train. In addition to an afternoon hike, we filled our weekend with other architectural wonders that can be found in Beijing - Temple of Heaven, Ming Tombs, Summer Palace - as a well as a spot of art and culture with with an opera performance.
