Brighton

Just got back from Brighton, and I have to say, it was a pretty awesome day out! The moment I arrived, I could feel the laid-back vibe of the city. First stop was the beach, obviously. The weather was kind of typical British—cloudy with a hint of sunshine—but that didn’t stop me from enjoying the pebbled shore. There’s something about the sound of waves crashing that just instantly puts you at ease. I walked along the famous Brighton Pier, which was buzzing with activity. The amusement rides looked like a lot of fun, though I skipped them this time and just soaked in the atmosphere instead. Grabbing a quick bite at one of the seaside food stalls was a must—fish and chips, of course. Nothing too fancy, but it’s just one of those things you’ve got to do by the coast. Afterwards, I wandered into the Lanes, which is this quirky area full of narrow streets, colorful shops, and cafes. It’s easy to lose track of time there, especially if you’re into browsing unique, vintage stuff. I stumbled upon this little record store that had a great collection of old vinyl. It was cool just flipping through the records, and the shop owner was super friendly, sharing stories about some of the bands. By late afternoon, I ended up at the Royal Pavilion, which honestly surprised me. It’s this mix of Indian and Chinese architecture that you just don’t expect to find in a seaside town like Brighton. The gardens around it were perfect for a chill break before heading back. Overall, Brighton’s got this mix of chill coastal vibes and quirky city life that makes it such a fun place to visit. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for a quick getaway! #brighton
